
Yamaha’s domestic sales grew by 45% year-on-year in April 2026 due to strong demand for RayZR, FZ, Fascino and R15.
Yamaha Motor India made a strong start to FY2026, registering good year-on-year (YoY) growth in domestic sales. The company sold a total of 67,988 units in April 2026, which is 45.19% higher than 46,826 units sold in April 2025. However, month-on-month (MoM) sales declined by 11.60% compared to 76,909 units sold in March 2026, indicating some slowdown following the buying rush at the end of the financial year.
Yamaha Sales Breakup April 2026
The RayZR remained Yamaha’s best-selling model in April 2026. Sales stood at 17,298 units, up 21.96% from 14,183 units sold in April 2025. RayZR had a 25.44% share in Yamaha’s domestic lineup.

The FZ range stood second with 15,729 units sold last month, registering a year-on-year growth of 16.67% as compared to 13,482 units sold a year ago. The Fascino scooter recorded the strongest performance in Yamaha’s portfolio, with sales increasing by 83.69% to 10,430 units from 5,678 units.
The R15 also made impressive gains. Sales increased to 9,066 units, showing an annual growth of 84.72% compared to 4,908 units sold in April 2025. The Yamaha XSR range contributed 6,914 units and achieved 10.17% market share in the company’s domestic portfolio.
MT15 sales stood at 6,741 units, although this saw a marginal decline of 4.04% year-on-year compared to 7,025 units sold in April 2025. The Aerox 155 scooter registered sales of 1,708 units, a growth of 15.09% year-on-year. The Yamaha EC06 electric scooter added 102 units, while the R3/MT03 twins recorded no sales in April 2026.

Yamaha MoM sales decline by 11.60%
On a month-on-month basis, Yamaha’s domestic sales declined by 11.60% from 76,909 units sold in March 2026. The total volume decline stood at 8,921 units. The RayZR saw the biggest decline among high-volume models, with a 32.95% decline from 25,798 units sold in March 2026. MT15 sales also declined sharply by 27.85%, while Aerox sales declined by 33.20% MoM.
The FZ range recorded a decline of 8.70% while XSR sales remained almost stable with a marginal decline of 0.49%. EC06 sales declined by 56.03% MoM. In contrast, the Fascino emerged as Yamaha’s best performing model on MoM basis with sales increasing by 56.35% to 10,430 units from 6,671 units. R15 also recorded positive momentum with an increase of 11.47% compared to March 2026 sales.
Yamaha has recently announced price hikes across its lineup from May 2026. The company has also introduced anniversary editions of R15 and R3. Going forward, Yamaha is expected to further strengthen its premium motorcycle and scooter portfolio, while also expanding its electric mobility plans for the Indian market.
