Yamaha India recorded strong domestic sales growth in June 2026, with volume reaching 66,573 units. This was an increase of 49.88% year-on-year compared to 44,417 units sold in June 2025. However, compared to May 2026, when 72,821 units were sold, the volume declined by 8.58%. Growth was even stronger during the second quarter of CY2026. Yamaha sold 2,07,382 units during April-June 2026, compared to 1,37,329 units in the same period last year. This resulted in an increase of 51.01% year-on-year and 70,053 additional units sold.

MT15 was at second position with 10,094 units, registering 41.71% YoY and 5.38% MoM growth. FZ stood second with 9,824 units. While FZ sales declined by 8.76% YoY, the MoM decline was much sharper at 33.90%. The R15 recorded one of the strongest performances year-to-date. Sales doubled from 4,380 units in June 2025 to 9,261 units last month, registering a growth of 111.44%. However, sales were down 5.53% compared to May.

Fascino sales stood at 8,790 units, up 43.51% year-on-year and 4.49% month-on-month. The new XSR contributed another 4,199 units, although sales declined 36.25% from 6,587 units in May. Aroc sales declined 16.52% YoY and 30.42% MoM to 1,455 units. Yamaha EC06 electric scooter recorded sales of 168 units during June, which is double the 84 units sold in May. R3 and MT03 recorded no domestic sales during the month.

Yamaha Sales Breakup Q2 2026

The RayZR was Yamaha’s highest-volume product during the second quarter of 2026, contributing 61,483 units. This was an increase of 48.22% compared to 41,480 units sold during Q2 2025. It achieved a 29.65% share of Yamaha’s quarterly domestic volumes. FZ stood second with 40,415 units, registering a relatively modest growth of 8.56% year-on-year.

The R15 stood third with 28,130 units, compared to 15,285 units last year. This represents an impressive 84.04% improvement year-on-year. Fascino also recorded strong growth, with sales increasing 62.03% to 27,632 units from 17,054 units. MT15 contributed 26,414 units, showing a growth of 24.70% compared to 21,182 units sold during Q2 2025.

The new XSR has quickly emerged as a significant volume contributor for Yamaha. It recorded sales of 17,700 units during Q2 2026, which is 8.53% of the company’s domestic volumes. Since XSR was not available during the same quarter last year, there is no year-over-year comparison. Aroc sales rose 5.35% to 5,254 units, while EC06 contributed 354 units. The R3 and MT03 recorded no sales during Q2 2026, compared to a combined 113 units in Q2 2025.

Scooters and premium motorcycles drive growth

Yamaha’s 51% quarterly growth was supported by multiple products rather than a single model. RayZR and Fascino recorded substantial gains, while R15 almost doubled its quarterly volumes. MT15 also maintained positive growth.

The new XSR added meaningful incremental volumes contributing 17,700 units during the quarter. Also, the FZ remains a significant volume generator despite growing at a slower pace than the rest of Yamaha’s portfolio.

June’s 8.58% MoM decline indicates some moderation after the strong volumes recorded in May. However, on a year-on-year and quarter basis, Yamaha’s domestic performance remains well ahead of the same period in 2025.
