Receiving several exterior and interior updates and a special accessories package, the Jimny Rhino edition continues with the same 1.5-litre engine.
Earlier this month, Suzuki launched the Jimny Rhino Edition in Malaysia. It was based on the 3-door Jimny. Suzuki has now introduced the Rhino Edition in Australia, based on the 5-door Jimny. While the special Rhino branding is based on the same basic idea, the kit is different for both markets.
Jimny Rhino Edition Australia – What’s new?
Suzuki sells both 3-door and 5-door versions of the Jimny in Australia. The latter is sold as the Jimny XL. With the Rhino Edition, the off-road capabilities of the SUV are expressed in a more impressive manner. At the front, the Rhino Edition gets the iconic Suzuki nameplate on the blacked-out grille with hex pattern elements. The front bumper is better highlighted with chrome under garnish.

This chrome treatment can also be seen on the side skirts. The overall effect is even more pronounced when the front doors open, causing the side lamps to come on. The Jimny Rhino Edition also gets 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels with wheel nut covers in black finish. These feature a special shuriken-inspired design, which gives the feeling of motion even when the vehicle is not in motion.
Other highlights include special Rhino decals on the front doors. These are finished in glossy black and satin aluminum finish with stripes. The decals give the impression of a walking rhinoceros. Suzuki is offering the Jimny Rhino edition with only one color option – Kinetic Yellow with Pearl Black roof.

internal updates
Inside, the Jimny Rhino Edition in Australia has special black leather inserts on the doors. These have stitching in contrasting kinetic yellow shade. The insert also features a special Rhino logo and Rhino lettering in Japanese Katakana script. With laser etching of these elements, the appearance changes depending on the way light is reflected.
Other special updates include 8-color customizable footwell illumination. The footwell area also gets custom rubber floor mats with Jimny branding. Chrome accents have been placed on the air vents, new AT shift panel and retro-inspired gear shift knob. The dashboard also features black leather inserts with Rhino logo and contrasting stitching.

Apart from this, special badges with Rhino logo and Rhino Special Edition letters have also been added on the dash. Functional updates include a luggage tray mat at the rear. The audio system has also been upgraded with the Jimny Rhino Edition.
Jimny Rhino Go Accessories Package
Every Jimny Rhino Edition also comes with a Rhino Go Pack. It’s essentially a special accessories package, with each item getting Rhino branding. These accessories are also functionally relevant. Items included in the Jimny Rhino Go Pack include:

Powertrain, Pricing
There are no performance upgrades with the Jimny Rhino Edition. The SUV continues with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated, four-cylinder engine that generates 101 hp and 130 Nm of torque. Transmission options include 5-speed manual and 4-speed AT. Jimny is equipped with AllGrip Pro 4WD system.

The Jimny Rhino Edition is priced at AU$ 44,990 (Rs 29.80 lakh) for the manual variant and AU$ 47,990 (Rs 31.79 lakh) for the automatic variant. This is an increase of about AU$10,000 (Rs 6.62 lakh) compared to the standard version. At this price, the Rhino Edition is the most expensive Jimny 5-door yet.
