Focusing on functional updates, the Maruti Brezza facelift will also get a mild exterior refresh and some new colors
Maruti Suzuki is prepping the Brezza facelift, the first major update for the second-generation model, which is first introduced in 2022. Test mules have been seen frequently in recent months. The new Brezza is scheduled to be launched on July 23. And our source is strongly suggesting that ADAS will not be a part of this update of the Brezza facelift.
2026 Maruti Brezza facelift – What’s new?
The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine could be one of the biggest updates for the new Brezza facelift. This 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine could be sourced from Ford. In front, this engine generates 100 PS and 147.6 Nm torque. Transmission options include 5MT and 6AT.
The mileage is quite good at 21.5 km/l with MT and 20.01 km/l with AT (data from Frontex). However, since the Brezza is heavier, the mileage numbers are likely to be slightly lower. The new Brezza facelift is expected to continue with the existing 1.5-litre K15C smart hybrid engine. It generates 103 PS and 139 Nm.
This engine is also available with a CNG option, although the existing CNG tank setup renders the available boot space unusable. Test mules of the Brezza facelift have been spotted with an underbody mounted CNG tank. This setup is similar to Maruti Victoris. With the underbody tank, Brezza CNG (facelift) sales may go higher in the coming months.
No ADAS!
The ADAS suite was speculated to come with the Brezza facelift, but our source is strongly suggesting that it won’t be happening. The new Brezza is expected to get some mild cosmetic touch-ups. Updates are expected for the lighting elements, front and rear bumpers and tail lamps. Based on the test mule sightings, a new design for the alloy wheels has also been revealed.
Inside, the new Brezza can be found with refreshed trim materials and some new color schemes. The facelift is unlikely to bring any major changes. The equipment can be upgraded with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, as seen with the Victoris. Other possibilities include features like ventilated front seats, a powered driver’s seat and ambient lighting.

The turbo petrol engine is more complex and more expensive, but Maruti’s 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine lacks an entire cylinder compared to the 1.5L NA. Add to this, the lower GST slab of 18% with B segment vehicles and one can expect the 1.0 Turbo and 1.5 L NA variants to be priced close to each other. As of now, Brezza is charged 40% higher GST despite being less than 4 meters in length due to the 1500cc engine. To qualify for the lower 18% tax slab, the car must have a petrol engine of up to 1,200 cc or a diesel engine of up to 1,500 cc.
The new 2026 Maruti Brezza will continue to challenge rivals like Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Skoda Kailash and Toyota Tasar. Brezza sales could be higher with the new engine, additional features, underbody CNG and lower GST. In May 2026, Brezza was ranked fourth in the list of best-selling sub-4-meter SUVs. Its market share was 11.39%.
