Kia India has launched the Syros EV at a starting price of Rs 13.49 lakh, ex-showroom. It is the electric version of the Sciros and joins the Carens Clavis EV in Kia’s India-made mass-market EV portfolio. Delivery/Sales through Dealership Will start from 30th July 2026.

Syros EV is available with two battery packs – 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh. Claimed ARAI ranges are 443 km and 526 km respectively. There are seven variants in total, with prices going up to Rs 19.99 lakh for the top-spec X-Line Extended range.

With a 42 kWh battery, the Syros EV HTK is priced at Rs 13.49 lakh, HTK+ at Rs 14.99 lakh and HTX at Rs 15.99 lakh. The larger 51.4 kWh extended range battery starts with the HTK+ ER, which is priced at Rs 16.99 lakh. HTX ER is priced at Rs 17.99 lakh, HTX+ ER is priced at Rs 19.49 lakh and X-Line ER is priced at Rs 19.99 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.

Kia is also offering a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, under which the vehicle and battery are financed separately. Under this scheme, Syros EV is available from Rs 7.99 lakh. Battery payment starts from Rs 3.3 per km.

526 km range, 171 PS

The entry-level 42 kWh battery offers an ARAI-certified MIDC range of 443 km. The larger 51.4 kWh NMC battery extends this range to 526 km, making the extended range version worth considering for buyers who want frequent highway use. The Sciros EV produces up to 171 PS and the 51.4 kWh version can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in a claimed 8.1 seconds. The battery is IP67 rated and uses liquid cooling for thermal management.

DC fast charging from 10-80% using a 100kW charger takes 39 minutes. It also has a 10.8 kW onboard AC charger. Regenerative braking can be controlled using paddle shifters and includes Auto mode and i-pedal functionality. Vehicle-to-load (V2L), battery conditioning and a battery heating system are also offered.

Familiar Ciros design, EV-specific changes

The overall shape is similar to the ICE Syros, including its tall and boxy proportions. EV-specific changes include a revised front fascia with Kia’s Digital Tiger Face treatment and aerodynamic elements. Other highlights include ice cube LED headlamps, star map LED DRLs and tail lamps, flush-fitting door handles and 17-inch dual-tone aero alloy wheels. A 16-inch wheel option is also available.

Inside, the Syros EV features Kia’s 30-inch Trinity display arrangement. It has a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and 5-inch climate control screen. Features include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Harman Kardon 8-speaker audio, panoramic sunroof, 64-color ambient lighting, wireless charging and dual-camera dashcam. The rear seats can slide and recline, while ventilation is available for both the front seats and the rear seat bases. It also has a 16 liter frunk.

Six airbags standard, Level 2 ADAS

Kia is offering six airbags, ESC, hill-start assist, brake assist, TPMS, ISOFIX mounts, rear occupant alert and electronic parking brake with auto hold as part of the standard safety package. Higher variants get Level 2 ADAS with 16 functions, which include Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Lane Keeping Assist and Lane Following Assist. A 360-degree camera, blind view monitor and front, rear and side parking sensors are also available.
