TVS Jupiter took the second position with 1,24,771 units, a growth of 17.89% year-on-year. It remains a strong alternative to Activa in the family scooter segment. Suzuki Access ranked third with 72,658 units, registering 9.49% year-on-year growth, reflecting steady demand.

The trend of EV scooters is continuously increasing

Electric scooters are continuously gaining popularity in the market. TVS iQube registered sales of 38,757 units, a growth of 46.26% year-on-year, while Bajaj Chetak registered sales of 34,416 units, a growth of 18.75%. These figures highlight the growing consumer acceptance of EVs, especially in urban markets where they are being adopted due to running cost advantages and better infrastructure.

Among sporty and youth-focused scooters, TVS Ntorq recorded sales of 32,598 units, up 48.52% year-on-year. Yamaha RayZR also saw an impressive growth of 77.79% year-on-year, with sales reaching 25,798 units. Hero Destiny registered a growth of 53.96% YoY at 24,177 units, indicating a revival in the family scooter sector.

In contrast, the Suzuki Burgman Street was the only model to drop from the top 10. Sales declined 13.87% year-on-year to 26,889 units. This is probably due to Suzuki recently upgrading the Burgman. Both old and new Burgmans are on sale now.
