Maruti Suzuki is on the verge of launching the Brezza facelift in the country. It is an important vehicle for the brand as it has been one of the best sellers in the B segment sub 4m SUV space and has been a consistent volume generator for the brand. It competes against its arch rival in the form of Tata Nexon as well as other cars like Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and others.
The launch is scheduled to take place on July 24, 2026 and official bookings are open at a nominal price of Rs 11,000. Ahead of the grand launch, the Maruti Brezza facelift has started arriving at dealerships, showing expected changes in the design, feature list and equipment.
Brezza facelift reaches dealer yard
A recent video by Abhay Sontakke has surfaced on the internet showing the Brezza facelift arriving at dealerships ahead of its launch. The Brezza facelift is being unloaded from the truck and the front end and side profile can be seen. This particular model in the video appears to be a lower variant and is fitted with steel wheels.
The front fascia has been revised with slightly revised headlights, new grille and front bumper. Even the fog light housing is new, which is now triangular in shape. Projector halogen headlights can be found in the lower variants, while LED headlights can be found in the higher variants. Fog lights can also be LED.
There will be higher variants with new alloy wheel designs, as seen in previous spy shots. The rear seems to be the one area where there have been very few changes and the same is the case with the interior. It seems there will be a larger touchscreen infotainment screen and other changes to bring the Brezza in line with the growing competition.
powertrain update
The main update with the Brezza facelift will be in the powertrain department. We are talking about the addition of a new 1.0 turbo petrol engine option which is likely to be shared with the front end turbo. This BoosterJet engine may get a different tune to suit the character of the Brezza with power up to 120 PS, which rivals the Nexon, Venue, Sonet and even the smaller punch turbo offered.
In the front, this 1.0L 3-cylinder BoosterJet engine is tuned to produce 99 bhp and 147.6 Nm of torque. This engine comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox, which is a first for the Brezza. A 6-speed torque converter automatic may also be on offer. With the CNG variant, there may be an underbody CNG tank, which will free up boot space.
This is the first time Maruti Suzuki is updating the Brezza and it is one of India’s best-selling SUVs. Hence, the hype and anticipation is quite high. Potential buyers are eager to see how the Brezza facelift will look like and what it will have in terms of features and equipment and these spy pictures give an idea of what to expect ahead of the July 24 launch.
