Hero MotoCorp is investing heavily on expanding its premium product lineup and creating a dedicated premium showroom network under the Premia name. Unfortunately, the Zoom 125 does not fall under the Premia showroom and is still sold along with other budget commuters like the Splendor, HF, Glamour, and Passion.
These regular dealerships are more inclined to sell the Splendor to the rural audience and the Zoom 125 is yet to receive due love. Hero can give this underrated scooter the love it deserves in the form of an ADV-style rugged makeover inspired by the Dakar Rally off-road motorcycles. The design patents of this stronger version of the Xoom 125 have been leaked.

At the 2023 EICMA show held in Milan, Hero MotoCorp showcased two new scooters, showcasing its design and engineering prowess for the first time. These were Xoom 125 and Xoom 160 and both of them have now been launched in India. Exactly a year later, the ADV version of both these scooters, called the Xoom 125 Adventure Concept and Xoom 160 Adventure Concept, debuted at the 2024 EICMA show.

Now, the Zoom 125 Adventure concept has been patented in the country and the design patents have been leaked online. We can see a strong design language in these design patents and it looks almost similar to the Zoom 125 Adventure concept. It also looks production ready and we expect it to launch soon.

In the concept, Hero used its Dakar Rally livery, which the company reserves for special vehicles like the XPulse 200 Pro. White base paint and contrasting red, black and gray highlights. Like racing machines, the body work is also numbered.

What extra do you get from this?
On top of the standard Zoom 125, this patented Adventure Edition gets a number of add-ons. The most notable of them include a robust looking crash guard finished in bright red that protects the apron area and side body in the displayed concept and only the apron area in the leaked patent. The front fender has been removed in favor of the beak and the crash guard has moved below this beak, which is a nice touch.

We can also see knobby tires and the same 14-inch sized alloy wheels as the standard model. There are additional protective cladding on the Zoom 125 Adventure and we can add fog lights with Hero’s cornering function (seen only on the Zoom 110). Also noteworthy is the knuckle guard, which is not found in the standard model.

Mechanically, it is expected to be similar to the Hero Zoom 125 Adventure, powered by a 124 cc air-cooled engine with around 10 PS of peak power and 10.4 Nm of peak torque. All LED headlights, swipe-style LED indicators, full digital cluster with Bluetooth, navigation and other notable features can also be had.
