Bajaj Pulsar N125 discontinued or planning a new model/replacement?
Until an official announcement is made, it is difficult to determine the future status of the Pulsar N125. The bike was originally slated to launch in October 2024 at a starting price of Rs 95,000. The Pulsar N125 is positioned as a sportier option in the 125cc segment, taking on rivals like the Hero Xtreme 125R and the Honda CB125 Hornet. Bajaj had earlier announced that it will launch 8 new bikes in 2026. It will be interesting to see whether the Pulsar N125 gets a replacement or an updated version.
The design of Pulsar N125 is sharp, which has been designed keeping the youth in mind. It has exciting color options and sporty graphics. Key features include aggressive headlamp design, sharp body panelling, split seats and an underbelly exhaust. The Pulsar N125 also gets rim stickers, which further add to its sporty appearance. The sharp design is also functionally relevant, as it enables fast movement on city streets.
The Pulsar N125 has been specifically designed keeping in mind the needs of performance enthusiasts. The bike weighs just 125 kg, offering best-in-class power-to-weight ratio. It is claimed to be the fastest 0 to 60 km/h in the 125cc segment. The Pulsar N125 is powered by a 124.59cc engine that generates 12 PS and 11 Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a 5-speed transmission.

Pulsar N125 vs rivals
Since the Pulsar 125cc range contributes to almost 1/3 of the company’s total monthly sales, it is important that this lineup is given priority to receive updates and new models. The Pulsar N125 competes against rivals like the Hero Xtreme 125R and the Honda CB125 Hornet. The Xtreme 125R is a popular choice in the segment, as evidenced by the nearly 20k sales recorded in April 2026. The bike had registered a double-digit annual growth of 65.70% in April 2026.
Honda also has a strong presence in the 125cc segment with bikes like the Shine 125 and SP125. Overall, these are the best selling 125cc bikes in the country. Sales of the Hornet 125 are relatively low, accounting for less than 1% of the brand’s monthly volumes. TVS Raider 125 is another popular choice in this segment. Sales in May 2026 were close to 35 thousand, contributing more than 9% to the brand’s monthly volume.
