Exactly a week ago, Hyundai Motor had unveiled its latest Ioniq model for the global markets. We’re taking the Hyundai Ioniq 3, which comes only in the sportier N Line avatar. The standard non-N Line Ioniq 3 has now been revealed to select media and we can see it in the latest photos from The Irish Times.

The Ioniq 3 is a new electric crossover hatchback from Hyundai, marketed as the ‘Aero Hatch’ and featuring a sloping coupe-like roofline. The starting price could be around EUR 28,000 (approximately Rs 31 lakh). This is a slightly quieter version than the recently unveiled Ioniq 3 N line. let’s take a closer look.

New Hyundai Ioniq 3

The Hyundai Ioniq 3 recently had its global unveiling along with the N Line variant and now we can see real-world photos of the standard Ioniq 3 (non N Line). This is a slightly quieter version with subtly designed front and rear bumpers and unique alloy wheels without the N branding. Even the colors look more subtle than the N Line version.

The standard Ioniq 3 is expected to bring in the lion’s share of sales for Hyundai and is expected to be priced starting at EUR 28,000 (roughly Rs. 31 lakh). When launched, it is set to take on popular vehicles in Ireland such as the Toyota Yaris Cross, which is a smaller vehicle than the Ioniq 3.

The base variant of the standard Hyundai Ioniq 3 is expected to be equipped with a 42 kWh battery pack that promises a range of around 335 km on a single charge. 5 variants are expected to be available in Ireland and the top-spec Ioniq 3 will come with a larger 61 kWh battery pack, promising a range of around 490 km on a single charge.

In terms of dimensions, the standard Hyundai Ioniq 3 measures 4,155 mm in length (4,170 mm N Line), 1,800 mm in width, 1,505 mm in height and has a 2,680 mm long wheelbase. Even with the Aero Hatch sloping roof line, the Ioniq 3 is advertised with 441L boot capacity. There is also 119L ‘Megabox’ underfloor storage provision.

While the N Line gets a sporty all-black interior theme with red accents, a dedicated N branded steering wheel and sporty seat upholstery, the standard Ioniq 3 gets a lighter combination of teal and grey. The steering wheel gets a quad dot logo and other instruments look similar. The squarish central infotainment screen will measure up to 14.6 inches and run Hyundai’s new Plios software.
