Performance as per OEM March 2026

OEM-wise analysis of the 150-200cc motorcycle segment highlights some clear changes in momentum among the key players. Bajaj Auto continues to dominate the segment, with sales of 55,360 units in March 2026, registering a strong growth of 54% year-on-year. This performance is largely driven by the Pulsar range, which remains the backbone of Bajaj’s sales in this segment. Yamaha emerged as one of the strongest gainers, posting a strong growth of 52.68% to 41,651 units. This was supported by continued demand in the FZ, MT-15 and R15 as well as early contributions from the newly introduced XSR. Hero MotoCorp also recorded a healthy growth of over 53% to 5,584 units, mainly driven by a strong jump in sales of the XPulse 200, reflecting the growing interest in affordable adventure motorcycles.

Honda’s performance was more balanced, with sales totaling 35,462 units, up 10.69% year-on-year. While Unicorns have continued to make significant contributions, declines in models like the SP160, CB200X and Hornet 2.0 have limited overall growth. KTM posted a steady growth of 34.95% supported by its 200cc lineup, while Suzuki saw a slight decline due to weak Gixxer sales. Overall, the segment is seeing stiff competition, with Bajaj and Yamaha gaining momentum, while others are showing mixed performance trends.
