Yamaha India recorded strong domestic sales performance in March 2026, with total dispatches reaching 76,909 units as compared to 50,473 units in March 2025, registering a strong growth of 52.38%. Even on a month-on-month basis, Yamaha saw a healthy growth of 14.66% compared to February 2026.
Yamaha Sales Breakup March 2026
Leading the charts for Yamaha was the RayZR, which recorded 25,798 units, marking a sharp growth of 77.79% year-on-year. This highlights the strong demand for Yamaha’s sporty scooter lineup, especially among young buyers.

The Fascino also contributed steadily with 6,671 units, although this remained largely flat on a year-on-year basis. The Arocs, positioned as a premium performance scooter, registered a growth of 28.43%, reaching 2,557 units. Overall, scooters have been playing an important role in Yamaha’s domestic growth story.
FZ range and R15 make solid profits
In the motorcycle segment, the FZ series recorded strong growth at 17,227 units, up 48.73% YoY. This reflects the continued demand for Yamaha’s commuter-focused yet sporty offerings.

The R15 also saw a good growth of 22.82%, selling 8,133 units, while the MT-15 maintained a steady volume at 9,343 units with a slight increase. These models maintain Yamaha’s presence in the premium commuter and entry-level performance segments.
XSR increases volume with strong entry
One of the biggest draws in March 2026 was the XSR, which posted 6,948 units. As a relatively new entrant, it has quickly gained popularity and has contributed significantly to Yamaha’s overall sales. On a month-on-month basis, XSR recorded a massive surge of 651.95%, indicating strong initial demand and an uptick in deliveries.

While overall sales increased on a monthly basis, the performance of different models varied. RayZR, Fascino and Airox saw good MoM gains, while MT-15 and R15 saw slight declines. This suggests a change in demand patterns within Yamaha’s lineup, driven by scooters and new launches.
Yamaha is quite active in the Indian market with regular product updates and new launches. The company recently refreshed its popular scooter lineup by introducing an updated Fascino. Just before that, Yamaha entered the electric sector with the launch of its first electric scooter for India, the EC-06. Additionally, the brand has also showcased an electric version of its performance-oriented scooter, the Aerox E, which is expected to be launched in the near future. This steady pipeline of updates and new products highlights Yamaha’s intention to remain relevant in both the ICE and emerging EV segments.
