Tata Motors has been growing rapidly in recent times as the brand recently launched its much-awaited Sierra SUV. After that, we saw the launch of the Punch facelift, which was quite a surprise as Tata now offers turbo petrol engines in this small SUV. Now that the Punch ICE facelift has been launched, the company is now eyeing the Punch EV facelift.

The company has now revealed the launch date of the Punch EV facelift, which is expected to be an improvement over the existing model. Given that the Punch EV was already a well-equipped model and some of its features were included in the Punch ICE facelift, it will be interesting to see what Tata will do to differentiate it. Let’s check out the possibilities.

Tata Punch EV facelift launch date

Now that the Punch ICE facelift has been launched, Tata Motors is all set to launch the Punch EV facelift on February 20, 2026. Considering the amount of changes and updates, the price may be revised. Currently, the Punch EV range starts at Rs 9.99 lakh for the base Smart MR trim with a 25 kWh battery pack.

Moving up the trim hierarchy, the Punch EV can be had in the Empowered+ S LR ACFC with a larger 35 kW battery pack and a faster 7.2 kW AC charger at a price of Rs 14.44 lakh (ex-sh). This top-spec trim already comes with a number of convenience features and comfort features and some of these have been included in the Punch ICE facelift.

what to expect?

As far as design is concerned, Tata Motors may introduce a slightly new design in the Punch EV facelift. We can expect a slightly redesigned fascia, closed-off grille, connected LED DRLs and a new set of alloy wheels along with revised front and rear bumpers. All four disc brakes will continue with the LR versions along with most other features.

The interior is where the Tata Punch EV facelift may get more than the current one. We’re talking about a larger 12.3-inch free-standing infotainment screen, what could be a panoramic sunroof this time, and a more premium Harman Kardon music system with a subwoofer.?? This is a good time for Tata to consider including Level-2 ADAS with the Punch EV like the Nexon.

Considering that the Punch ICE facelift has received a big boost in its performance, we can expect Tata to do something in terms of powertrain for the Punch EV facelift. A larger battery pack can be expected with the Punch EV facelift. When the Curve EV was launched, Tata gave the Nexon the option of a larger 45 kWh battery pack in place of the 40.5 kWh pack.

Similarly, the Punch EV facelift may come with this 40.5 kWh pack which is currently at 35 kWh. This could increase the claimed range slightly, closer to 500km, up from the current ARAI figure of 421km with the 35kWh battery pack. More information will be revealed in the coming days.
