
Skoda Auto India has officially announced the launch of the all-new Kodiaq RS SUV. Bookings for the performance-focused flagship SUV will begin on June 22, 2026. The Kodiaq RS is a significant milestone for the brand, becoming Seven seater for the first time Skoda will wear the iconic RS badge in India.
The arrival of the Kodiaq RS further expands Skoda’s growing RS portfolio in India. After the success of the Octavia RS, which sold out within minutes of its launch, the company is now bringing its most powerful SUV for Indian enthusiasts.

Commenting on the announcement, Ashish Gupta, Brand DirectorSkoda Auto India said, “The RS badge brings a global performance heritage of over 50 years and a strong following in India since the Octavia RS arrived more than two decades ago. The latest Octavia RS, launched last year, sold out in just 20 minutes, highlighting its cult status among enthusiasts. Now, we are taking that legacy forward with the Kodiaq RS, which will be the first to wear the iconic RS badge. Our first seven-seater in India and the fastest Skoda yet in the country.”
Unlike the standard Kodiaq, the RS version will come to India as a CBU import. Since the SUV is already on sale in several global markets, its specifications and equipment details are well known. The Kodiaq RS is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI Evo turbo petrol engine that produces 265 PS and 400 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive.

Compared to the previous generation Kodiaq RS, power output has increased by 20 hp. The performance figures are equally impressive. Seven-seater SUV can run fast 0-100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds And achieved a top speed of 231 km/h, making it the fastest Skoda currently headed to India.

However, for India, Skoda has opted to bring the current generation Kodiaq RS as a CBU, giving enthusiasts access to the brand’s performance flagship without having to wait for the facelifted version.

Sportier design, richer equipment list
The Kodiaq RS gets several visual upgrades compared to the standard model. These include an RS-specific front bumper insert, gloss black detailing on the grille, mirrors, window surrounds and rear badging, as well as standard 20-inch alloy wheels and dual stainless steel exhaust outlets.
Inside, the cabin gets sports seats with integrated headrests, RS-specific steering wheel, stainless steel pedals and a dark interior theme highlighted by red contrast stitching. Suede upholstery comes standard, while select markets also offer a leather upholstery option.

This SUV is also loaded with technology. Internationally available features include LED matrix headlights, adaptive DCC plus suspension, progressive steering, multiple drive modes, Canton premium audio system, acoustic glass and a larger infotainment display paired with a fully digital instrument cluster.
Positioned as a performance flagship
The Kodiaq RS tops the global Kodiaq lineup and will likely do the same in India. Along with its performance credentials, it retains the practicality of a three-row SUV and the added confidence of all-wheel drive.
