The Land Rover Range Rover now has a new highest-spec trim and it’s called the SV Ultra. It is based on the SV trim, but gets new materials and new in-cabin technology. While the design and looks remain the same, Land Rover has improved the passenger comfort and in-cabin audio experience with the Range Rover SV Ultra with electrostatic sound. let’s take a closer look.
Range Rover SV Ultra unveiled
As far as exterior design is concerned, the SV Ultra is still recognizable as the flagship full-size Range Rover. It’s still big and intimidating with sophisticated aesthetics coupled with plush appeal and gorgeous road presence. Land Rover has introduced a new Titan Silver paint finish, which is exclusive to the Range Rover SV Ultra.
This Titan Silver paint scheme features satin platinum and silver chrome accents in key areas. The alloy wheels also get satin platinum inserts, measuring 23-inches and get Range Rover center hub caps. Additionally, the Range Rover SV Ultra gets SV-specific details.
Under the bonnet, the Land Rover Range Rover SV Ultra is equipped with a BMW-sourced 4.4L V8 petrol engine (P540) producing up to 537 bhp of maximum power and 750 Nm of peak torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and sophisticated AWD system. It will take 4.9 seconds to accelerate from 0-100 km/h and the top speed is 261 km/h.
There will also be a P550e plug-in hybrid version, which will be based on a 3.0L straight-six petrol engine. Because this is a PHEV setup, it will have a battery pack big enough to provide a pure electric range of around 90 km once fully charged.

The main change in the SV Ultra is in its audio department. Land Rover has fitted the Range Rover SV Ultra with ‘SV Electrostatic Sound’, consisting of 21 lightweight and thin-film transducers strategically fitted into the seats, headrests and other parts of the cabin. These transducers can respond up to 1000 times per second and work in conjunction with the ‘Body and Soul Seats’ and ‘Sensory Floor’.
So, not only do these speakers sound like you’re positioned at a concert, but users will also feel the sound with haptic feedback with the Body & Soul seats and sensory floor. The system also gets six wellness modes that adjust these haptic vibrations for relaxation mode or focus mode.
Other notable elements of the Range Rover SV Ultra include Orchid White and Cinder Gray interior theme, white ceramic finish on the dials and gear selector, SV Ultra illuminated scuff plates, quad-zone climate control and rattan palm wood veneer in the cabin for added opulence. Also worth mentioning are the 13.1-inch infotainment screen, 13.7-inch instrument cluster, and 13.1-inch rear entertainment screen.
