Qianjiang Group owns many brands such as QJ Motor, Benelli and Keyway. All three brands are being introduced in India by Adishwar Auto Ride India and there seems to be an opportunity for portfolio expansion to take on the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650. The model in question is the QJ motor SRV 600 V2, which has been spotted testing for the first time in India, sparking launch speculation.

QJ Motors SRV 600 V2 spied
In terms of design, the QJ Motors SRV 600 V2 follows the American bobber motorcycle silhouette. It follows a stripped-down lightweight design philosophy. It features retro elements like round headlights, circular LED turn indicators and a teardrop-style fuel tank. QJ Motors calls it a symphony of sport and style. The color options are gray and black and the one seen in India, thanks to automotive enthusiast Shubham Sharma (@mr.jr_7), is the black color.

The LED elements inside the circular headlights are square-shaped and have a circular LED DRL surrounding them. On the fuel tank we can see a black element with the letters ‘Viatique’ and ‘Always Forward’. SRV 600 V2 branding can be seen on the side body panels. Even though it is a bobber, it has a pillion seat that can be removed.

It also has some brilliantly done chrome highlighting which gives a sophisticated look. We can see these chrome highlights on the engine, wheels, air box and bar-end mirrors. The SRV 600 V2 comes with a twin exhaust setup and each of them gets larger units with a bronze exhaust tip for a masculine aesthetic.

The handlebar has been pulled back for easy reach, the footpegs are set at the front to provide a comfortable riding posture and a unique rider triangle. Seat height is low at 705 mm, which is typical of a Bobber. The ground clearance with this low-slung motorcycle is 120 mm and the curb weight is 205 kg, which is not bad considering the engine has a torque of 53 Nm.

550cc V-twin engine
Talking about the QJ motor, the SRV 600 V2 comes with a 550.4cc V-twin DOHC 4V/cyl liquid-cooled engine which drives the rear wheel through belt drive. QJ Motors has listed two different power figures for the motorcycle – 47.6 PS and 50.3 PS. There is only one torque figure, which is 53 Nm. A 6-speed gearbox does the transmission and the promised range from the 16L fuel tank is 400 km.

Cycle parts include USD telescopic front forks, twin rear shockers, a 320 mm front disc brake, larger 360 mm rear disc brake, dual-channel ABS, 1,555 mm wheelbase, 16-inch alloy wheels at both ends, 130/90 front and 180/65 rear tyres. A circular color LCD instrument cluster is also present. When launched, the immediate rival could be the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650.

In a strategic collaboration with Hyderabad-based Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI), Qianjiang Group is introducing QJ Motors, Benelli and Keyway motorcycles in India. AARI is running dealer and service network for these brands along with Zontes and Moto Morini through its Moto Vault showrooms.
