Earlier this year, Bajaj had revealed that they will be launching 8 new bikes in the 125cc to 250cc segment, including an all-new ADV. Well, it looks like this upcoming Bajaj ADV has now been spotted testing. Spotted by On 2 Wheels at Verve near Pune. This motorcycle could be Bajaj’s first serious entry in the growing ADV segment. While Bajaj has manufactured adventure motorcycles for KTM for a long time, it has never offered a dedicated adventure tourer under its brand.
The latest spy shots reveal a motorcycle that looks far more purpose-built than an adventure-style derivative of an existing roadster. The overall design, proportions and hardware suggest that Bajaj is working on a proper ADV machine with touring and light off-road capabilities.

New Bajaj ADV spied
From the side profile, the stance of the motorcycle is clearly adventure-focused. Highlights include a long front fork, long travel suspension, upright ergonomics and a tall single-piece seat. The fuel tank appears relatively slim around the rider’s knees, which aids ergonomics when standing while riding off-road.
The test mule was also equipped with a top box, hinting at its touring intentions. Interestingly, despite the luggage box, there appears to be ample space for the rear seat. The tail section looks relatively compact and features an LED tail lamp setup that resembles the units seen on current Bajaj motorcycles.

The motorcycle rides on wire-spoke wheels, which appear to be a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear combination. This setup is commonly seen on adventure motorcycles, which need to balance on-road comfort and off-road capability. Front suspension duties are handled by long-travel telescopic forks, while the rear gets a monoshock setup.
KTM connection?
The most interesting aspect of the test mule is its engine and chassis package. Although Bajaj hasn’t provided any details, it appears that many components carry over to KTM’s existing platform. The engine casing is not the same as Bajaj’s existing 250cc platform seen on the Pulsar N250 and Dominar 250. Instead, it appears to be closer in design to KTM’s new liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. This led to speculation that the motorcycle could use a KTM-derived powertrain.

If that’s the case, Bajaj could potentially use the 249 cc liquid-cooled engine from the KTM 250 Adventure, which develops around 31 PS and 25 Nm. Such a setup would give the motorcycle much stronger touring credentials than the current crop of entry-level ADVs. Also, the possibility of Bajaj adopting its own new generation engine architecture cannot be ruled out. Final specifications are kept secret.
production ready appearance
Unlike the early-stage prototypes, this test mule appears to be much closer to production. Most of the body panels have been finalized, while the exhaust system, seating arrangement and rear luggage mounting point look ready for market launch. The headlamp design and instrument cluster remain hidden under the camouflage. However, considering the recent products from Bajaj, features like Bluetooth connectivity, navigation support and ride mode can be expected.

expected situation
If launched with a 250cc engine, the new Bajaj ADV could directly compete with the Hero XPulse 210, Suzuki V-Strom SX and the Yezdi Adventure. A more powerful KTM-derived setup could also pit it against the TVS Apache RTX 300 and higher variants in the adventure touring segment. Pricing is expected to be aggressive, which has traditionally been Bajaj’s strongest advantage. Launch could occur in late 2026 or early 2027.
