India’s leading car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki launched the Victoris SUV in the country last year. It is the flagship vehicle for the Arena dealership, but has significantly more features and equipment than its Nexa counterpart, the Grand Vitara. Even though this Arena is meant for dealerships, it is currently Maruti Suzuki’s halo product for Indian car buyers.
Due to these ethos, Victoris has received good response from Indian buyers which is reflected in the sales achievement. Maruti Suzuki has managed to sell 1 lakh units of Victoris in the country in just 9 months, at an average of around 12,500 units per month.

Maruti Victoris Sales
Within a span of 9 months from launch, Maruti Suzuki Victoris has achieved the coveted 1 lakh unit sales milestone. While this is a headline statement in itself, what is more noteworthy is that the Victoris is currently Maruti Suzuki’s only in-house production (built at the Kharkhoda plant) C segment mid-size SUV and has emerged as the second best-selling SUV in the segment.
If we look at the numbers, the Maruti Suzuki Victories is second only to the Hyundai Creta, which sold 1,51,963 units at an average of 16,885 units per month between September 2025 and May 2026. In the same time period, deliveries of the Victoris began and the SUV managed to sell 1,00,144 units at an average of 11,127 units per month.

In third place, we have the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hayrider with 80,078 units, an average of 8,898 units per month. This was followed by the Kia Seltos which managed to sell 76,771 units, averaging 8,530 units per month, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara sold 72,762 units, averaging 8,085 units per month and the Tata Sierra sold 37,319 units, mostly in 2026, with an average 7,406 units per month.
