
Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has launched smart maintenance plans for existing Maruti Suzuki car owners in both private and commercial sectors. The company is calling these ‘flexible and customer-centric’ maintenance plans, aimed at providing vehicle ownership to owners and giving them peace of mind.
Maruti Smart Maintenance Plan
Maruti Suzuki’s SMP (Smart Maintenance Plan) has been launched in the country with multiple benefits for Maruti car owners. These are pre-paid after-sales maintenance plans that are designed to be flexible to suit the needs of the buyer and demands based on their requirement, thereby bringing a certain level of adaptability to these maintenance plans.
Apart from private buyers, Maruti Suzuki SMP has also been introduced for commercial buyers, given that Maruti Suzuki is a preferred choice for fleet operators and commercial buyers. Under SMP, existing Maruti Suzuki private and commercial owners can choose from a wide range of service configurations depending on their specific requirements.
Some of these services include labor only, parts and labor, commercial vehicle mini services, customer requested services, engine oil and coolant. Expanding on these services, we may also see optional wear and tear coverage offered on parts like clutch and brakes.

There are savings with SMP such as a minimum 10% savings on labor costs, additional savings on parts and consumables and even protection against future inflation for services covered under SMP. It is to be noted that the SMP is applicable at any Maruti Suzuki authorized workshop across India, irrespective of the SMP purchase location.
Buyers can also choose between tenure and mileage options. Some of them are 2 years/20,000 km, 5 years/50,000 km and even longer term 10 years/1,00,000 km for personal vehicles. SMP plans for commercial vehicles can extend up to 10 years/1,60,000 km.
