
Mahindra XEV 9e has been one of the most sought-after premium coupe electric SUVs in the country. For many, it struck the right balance between premium equipment, exciting performance and logical pricing. The launch price of this electric SUV was Rs 21.9 lakh (ex-sh) for Pack One, which is reaching showrooms as seen in the video by RS Auto World.
Mahindra XEV 9e Base Pack One Variant
The latest XEV 9S may start at a lower price, but it doesn’t bring the same desirability quotient as the The XEV 9E with base pack one variant has higher flash value than the XEV 9S and also costs more.

For starters, the XEV 9e has larger 19-inch steel wheels and these are also stylish steel wheels with dedicated wheel covers that look like alloy wheels. There are the same LED headlights and fog lights as the XEV 9S and then we have added LED DRLs and tail lights with the XEV 9e. The XEV 9e comes with a larger boot of 663L and a further 150L of frunk.
Additionally, the second row seats can be removed from the boot area itself, which is a nice move and is offered from the base variant. We have flush door handles, auto headlights, rain-sensing wipers, reversing camera, power adjustable ORVMs with turn indicators (not power folding), gloss black body and wheel arch cladding and rear defogger.

Feature-Loaded Interior
On the inside, Mahindra is offering the XEV 9e Base Pack One variant with a triple 12.3-inch display setup on the dashboard as standard equipment. These are crisp in resolution and easy to operate and the third screen for the front passenger gets a number of apps with a filter at the top that doesn’t distract the driver.
The steering is identical to the top variant with illuminated logos, audio controls, cruise control, paddle shifters for Regions, boost mode and more. There are some soft touch elements on the inside such as on the armrest of the center armrest and door trims. Rear occupants also get a center armrest with AC vents, two 65W USB Type-C fast chargers, LED reading light and more.

Fabric seats, adjustable steering for height and reach, manually dimmable IRVM, wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, cooled center armrest storage, coat hook, vanity mirror with illumination for co-driver, premium flap in the center console, touch-enabled panel on the center console, auto climate control and other features worth mentioning.
Powering the Mahindra XEV 9e base Pack One variant is a sole 59 kWh battery pack that promises a range of 542 km on a single charge. The motor drives only the rear wheels and is rated at 228 bhp and 380 Nm. It should be noted that the XEV 9S Base Pack one above trim also offers the option of a 79 kWh battery, which the XEV 9e currently does not have.
