On 15 August 2025, Mahindra Auto showcased four new concept vehicles at its Freedom NU event in Mumbai. The production-spec versions of all four vehicles will be based on Mahindra’s next-generation NU_IQ platform. The first of these to launch will be the Vision S and is speculated to be called the Scorpio Sport, which will bring the Scorpio nameplate into the high-volume B SUV segment.
The Scorpio Sport (name not confirmed) has been spied several times and the latest spy shots are of automotive enthusiast Chauhan who clicked them on Mall Road in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. These new spy shots show two of these test mules in full camouflage followed by a Bolero Neo, which could be a support vehicle for these test mules.
Mahindra Vision S spied
The four concepts showcased by Mahindra were the Vision S and Vision Even before the event, test mules of the production-spec version of the Vision S were spotted testing, confirming the fact that the Vision S derivative will be the first of these four to launch.
The latest spy shots from Mussoorie show test mules with (relatively) less camouflage. So, the outline of the front bumper, looking like fine design details like fog lights arranged vertically in a C-shaped housing. If you are wondering which other Mahindra vehicle has C-shaped elements in its front bumper, it is the Scorpio N.

We can see ten vertical elements in the upper grille, four of them are thick and six of them are thin which are on the sides of the thick grille. There is a plaque in the middle of these ten elements, which will have the Mahindra badge on it. Just below this plaque, there is a radar module for the ADAS suite, housed in the lower grille.
Other notable elements at the front are the circular LED projector headlights with C-shaped LED DRLs from the Thar Rocks. At the rear, these test mules sported temporary make-shift tail lights, indicating that the tail lights had not been finalized yet. The spare wheel is placed on the tail gate, which means it can hinge to the side.

what to expect?
The production version of the Mahindra Vision S comes with a clamshell bonnet, traditional SUV proportions, while still adhering to the sub 4 meter length constraints. Its road presence is impressive and it attracts a lot of people’s attention, as seen in the spy shots. The boxy proportions will allow Mahindra to engineer the interior space to provide maximum space, which could be the best in the segment.
Previous spy shots of the Vision S interior have revealed that Mahindra is following the concept closely. Depending on the variant, Mahindra will equip this vehicle with a lot of features. Petrol, diesel (confirmed by spy shots) and EV versions are expected. Previous spy shots have revealed that the vehicle may come with rear independent suspension, which only a few like the Tata Nano and Tata Indica offered in the sub-4 meter segment. The launch is likely to take place in 2027.
