Toyota Kirloskar Motor reported total sales of 35,145 units in March 2026, registering a healthy growth of 23.87% as compared to 28,373 units sold in March 2025. The company also recorded a strong growth of 14.35% MoM, reflecting improved demand across multiple segments.

The urban cruiser Hayrider emerged as Toyota’s best-selling model for the month with 10,206 units, registering a massive growth of 93.08% year-on-year. Strong demand for hybrid options has continued to boost the performance of the hyder, making it a key volume driver for the brand.

At the second position, Innova HiCross posted 7,814 units, a growth of 9.18% YoY, while also registering a sharp jump of 29.35% MoM, indicating continued demand for Toyota’s premium MPV offering. Supported by growing acceptance in the affordable MPV space, the Toyota Rumion recorded one of the highest growth rates in the lineup, accounting for 3,892 units, with a 117.07% YoY growth.

Fortuner maintained a steady performance with 3,795 units, up 11.88% YoY and 23.37% MoM, confirming its dominance in the premium SUV segment. Glanza reported 3,470 units, marking a marginal decline of -0.89% YoY, although it improved by 8.03% MoM. Taser saw a decline of -18.83% YoY with 2,815 units, indicating cooling demand after its initial momentum. Innova Crysta sales were recorded at 2,319 units, down 14.08% year-on-year, as buyers increasingly turned to the new HiCross.

The Hilux, Vellfire and LC300 also saw declines, reflecting the niche nature of these premium offerings. However, the Camry recorded a marginal growth of 7.88% YoY with 219 units, while the LC300 showed strong MoM growth despite lower overall volumes.

Strong MoM recovery across entire lineup

On a month-on-month basis, Toyota showed strong improvement across most models. The HiCross, Rumion and Fortuner led the way, while the Vellfire and LC300 also registered significant percentage growth due to lower base volumes. Overall, the company added 4,411 units in February 2026, highlighting improved market momentum in the new fiscal year.

Toyota’s March 2026 performance shows a balanced growth story led by hybrid SUVs and MPVs. Hider and HighCross continue to drive volume, while Rumian is emerging as a strong contributor.
