Hyundai is working on a new electric SUV for the Indian market, which will be positioned below the Creta Electric. It will be made in India, for India and also for global export. Testing of this mass-market EV has already started.
Test mules in full camouflage have been seen in India as well as South Korea. Based on the spy shots, rendering artist Pratyush Raut has come up with renders of this upcoming Hyundai electric SUV.

New Hyundai electric SUV presented
Spy shots have revealed that this unnamed Hyundai EV will come with a tall-boy design with a strong and impressive silhouette. The same can be seen in these renders also. The distinguishing factor will be the pixel-design LED DRLs.
These renders feature the quad dot Hyundai logo in pixel style with the traditional Hyundai logo on top. The headlights are located at the bottom and take a quadrangular form with multi-beam LED chambers inside them.

The flush door handles are another highlight of this Hyundai EV and we can see a geometric pattern for the alloy wheels, which looks quite smart. Roof rails are functional type and can be load bearing type. We can also see raised wheel arches and chunky wheel arch cladding along with the door cladding.

what to expect?
The spy shots reveal a boxy silhouette, which should have a spacious and accommodating interior with more than enough shoulder room for all occupants. At the rear, there is a connecting plaque for the tail lights, but the actual LED tail light signature does not appear to be connected. There’s also a funky spoiler at the rear that integrates a high-mount stop light.

Dual 12.3-inch screens in the curved housing, fancy steering wheel with steering column-mounted gear selector, premium materials and premium audio system, level-2 ADAS, 360-degree cameras, all four disc brakes, adjustable regenerative braking, powered front seats, ventilated front seats and other features can be expected.
The battery size could be around 40 kWh, promising a range of 400 km – 500 km on a full charge. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h can be expected in less than 10 seconds with a single electric motor driving the front wheels. Features like V2L and V2V may be present. When launched, it will compete with the likes of Tata Nexon EV, Punch EV, Mahindra XUV 3XO EV and the likes in the sub 4 meter segment. The launch is likely to happen later this year or in 2027.
