motorcycle vs scooter sales
TVS Motor’s February 2026 domestic sales clearly highlight its scooter-led growth strategy, with scooters contributing the largest share of 56.43% to the total volumes. Scooter sales grew by a strong 33.1% year-on-year to 2,06,228 units, primarily driven by continued demand for Jupiter, Ntorq and growing traction of iQube in the electric segment. This segment remains the backbone of TVS’s overall volumes.

Motorcycles accounted for 31.23% with 1,14,148 units, registering a healthy growth of 30.41% YoY. The strong performance of models like Apache, Raider and Ronin indicates that TVS is gaining momentum in the premium and sporty commuter segment as well. Meanwhile, mopeds contributed 12.34% to total sales, with the XL alone selling 45,095 units, up 34.32% year-on-year. This segment, though small in share, remains a steady volume driver, especially in rural and semi-urban markets.
