Along with exterior updates and new features, the Innova Hycross facelift is expected to continue with the existing engine options
Toyota has started road testing the Innova HighCross facelift, which is expected to be launched later this year or in 2027. Significant updates are expected, as competition in this sector is going to intensify. The HiCross is currently the second best selling Toyota car in India with a contribution of around 22% to total sales. The latest spy shots reveal new features that the updated model may have.
Innova Hycross Facelift – Expected Exterior Changes
The latest spy shots are credited to OnlyNando’s channel. Most of the exterior updates will be seen in the front fascia. The existing reflector units are likely to be replaced with projector headlamps. This will increase lighting levels and ensure a more contemporary aesthetic. The Innova HighCross facelift is also expected to get updates to the grille and bumper, which will further sharpen its appearance.

The side profile is expected to be largely similar to the current model. The test mules have been seen testing with the same alloy wheels as the current version. The Innova HighCross features square wheel arches, conventional door handles, chrome garnish on the windows, blacked-out B and C pillars and a gently sloping roofline.

At the rear, the existing tail lamps are expected to continue in the Innova Hycross facelift. The turn indicators appear to use the same incandescent bulbs as the current model. However, the brake light appears to be new, consisting of an uninterrupted LED strip. The brake lights on the current HiCross have four separate LEDs.
new features
Inside, recent spy shots have revealed the presence of a large touchscreen infotainment system. It is at least around 12 inches or more. The larger touchscreen may also get an updated OS. The current HiCross model uses a 10.1-inch touchscreen. It’s possible that the digital console may also grow in size and get updated graphics. The current model uses a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster.

Based on consumer feedback, Toyota may want to improve the overall fit and finish. NVH levels could be another area where the HiCross facelift could see tangible improvements. Other desirable items include a power front passenger seat, illuminated windows and door lock switches. The Hycross facelift may get an improved 360-degree camera, new connected features, ventilated second-row seats and a more premium music system with Dolby Atmos.
The current model of the Innova Hycross already comes with premium features such as R18 alloy wheels and panoramic sunroof with mood lighting and roof mounted AC vents. A range of segment first features are available such as dual function DRL+indicator, ventilated front seats, power back door, rear sunshade, multi zone AC, electrochromic IRVM and powered ottoman seats with long slide.
flex fuel possible
While retaining the existing powertrain options, it is likely that a flex fuel option may be introduced with the Innova HighCross facelift. The current model has 2.0-litre petrol and 2.0-litre strong hybrid powertrain options. The first generates 173 hp and 204 Nm torque. It is paired with CVT transmission. The HyCross 2.0 self-charging strong hybrid integrates a 113 hp electric motor, generating a combined power output of 183.7 hp. This powertrain is equipped with E-CVT transmission.
