
This is the third price hike for Thar in 2026, after the previous hikes announced in January and April
Mahindra has increased the prices of all its SUVs by up to 2.7% in July. These include the Thar and XUV3XO, which are among the primary volume generators for Mahindra. Thar has become costlier by Rs 37,000, while the price of XUV 3XO has become costlier by Rs 30,000. The reason for the increase in prices is said to be the increase in production costs. Other carmakers like Honda, Kia, JSW MG Motor and Toyota have also announced price hikes in July.
Mahindra Thar price hike – July 2026
The price of Thar increased by Rs 20 thousand in January and by Rs 43,500 in April. Thar has become costlier by Rs 37,000 in July. The price of Thar AXT 2WD Diesel 1.5 MT base variant has been increased by Rs 32,500. It is now available at a starting price of Rs 10.32 lakh. Moving forward, prices of the Thar LXT 2WD 2.2-litre diesel MT and LXT 2WD 2.0-litre petrol AT variants have been increased by Rs 29,500 and Rs 27,000 respectively.
The new price of Thar LXT Diesel 2WD MT is Rs 12.99 lakh. LXT Petrol 2WD Automatic is available at a starting price of Rs 14.76 Lakh. Next is the LXT 4WD 2.0 Petrol MT, which is costlier by Rs 33,000. The new price is Rs 15.59 lakh. The price of Thar LXT 4WD 2.2 Diesel MT variant has been increased by Rs 34,000. The new price is Rs 16.42 lakh.

The price of Thar LXT 4WD 2.0 Petrol AT has been increased by Rs 36,000. This variant is now available for Rs 17.22 lakh. Thar’s top variant LXT 4WD 2.2 diesel automatic has become costlier by Rs 37,000. It is now available at a starting price of Rs 17.99 lakh.
XUV 3XO price hike – July 2026
The XUV 3XO (including the EV variant) is currently the third best-selling Mahindra SUV, contributing over 16% to total monthly sales. The prices of XUV 3XO have been increased by Rs 6,000 to Rs 30,000. The SUV is offered in nine broad trim levels. Engine options include 1.2-litre TCMPFi petrol, 1.2-litre TGDi petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel unit.
The prices of petrol variants of XUV 3XO have been increased by Rs 6,000 to Rs 30,000. The base variant, MX1 MT, has now become costlier by Rs 25,000. It is available for Rs 7.79 lakh. The RevX M manual and RevX M (O) manual have become costlier by Rs 20,000 and Rs 18,000 respectively. The new prices are Rs 8.59 lakh and Rs 9.09 lakh respectively.

Similarly, prices of MX2 and MX3 variants have been increased by Rs 6,000 to Rs 11,000. Next up is the AX5 trim, which has seen a price increase of Rs 12,000 to Rs 30,000. The price of AX5 MT variant has increased the most by Rs 30,000. It is now available at a starting price of Rs 10.29 lakh.
The price of the top-spec AX7 variant of the XUV 3XO has been increased by Rs 12,000 to Rs 15,000. The AX7 range starts with the dual-tone MT, which is now priced at Rs 12.19 lakh. The top-spec AX7 luxury dual-tone variant is priced at Rs 15.05 lakh.
XUV 3XO diesel variant price hike – July 2026
The price of the XUV 3XO diesel variant has seen a price increase from Rs 9,900 to Rs 14,000. Only three diesel variants are included in this price hike. The MX2 MT has become costlier by Rs 14,000 and is now available at Rs 9.36 lakh. Next is the MX2 Pro MT, which is now priced at Rs 9.99 lakh. The price of MX3 MT has been increased by Rs 12,000. It is now available for Rs 10.13 lakh.
