Hero MotoCorp recently introduced a new edition of its popular Passion lineup. Called the Passion+ Disc, this new variant is seen as a stylish and feature-rich option for young motorcycle buyers and first-time adult motorcycle buyers. It is said to offer a perfect blend of performance, convenience and fuel economy.
Hero Passion+ Disc Variant
In terms of pricing, the Hero Passion + Disc variant is priced at Rs 84,128 (ex-sh, Delhi) and is expected to expand the already huge 100cc commuter portfolio by the brand. The recently launched Passion+ Disc variant is offered in four dual-tone attractive colors – Heavy Grey, Dark Industrial Grey, Nexus Blue and Pearl Red.
As the name suggests, the main update comes in the form of a new disc brake setup introduced on the front wheel. Compared to the braking performance seen with the drum brake setup, it will bring enhanced braking capabilities with the Passion+ commuter motorcycle, providing an improved sense of safety to the passengers.
Apart from the new disc brake setup at the front, Hero MotoCorp has updated the instrument cluster of the Passion+ disc variant. It now gets a fully digital instrument cluster with advanced features like real time mileage indicator, Bluetooth connectivity, service reminder, low fuel indicator, trip computer, speedo and odo readout.
The Bluetooth suite is quite basic and doesn’t offer advanced features like navigation or music controls. However, features like call alerts and SMS alerts are offered. Other notable features include segment-first LED projector headlights and side stand indicator with engine cut-off feature.
The bike is powered by a 100cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine capable of producing around 8 bhp of maximum power and 8 Nm of peak torque mated to a 4-speed gearbox. This engine also gets i3S engine stop start system to increase fuel efficiency, which is rated at 71 km/l.
