While the Swift Sport’s journey ended with the ZC33S Final Edition in 2025, it is speculated that a new model is under development
Originally launched in 2005, the Suzuki Swift Sport has continued to delight performance enthusiasts. The hot hatch has received generational updates over the years, transitioning from naturally aspirated engines to the turbo era in its third-gen version. However, with increasing pressure for stricter emissions compliance, the Swift Sport was discontinued in global markets in 2024-25.
The ZC33S Final Edition was the last version of the Swift Sport to be available for sale in Japan from March 2025. This was also discontinued in November 2025. Meanwhile, there have been reports about the development of a new-gen version of the Swift Sport. As enthusiasts have been waiting for that possibility, Suzuki has surprised everyone by introducing the Swift Sport bodykit.

Swift Sport Bodykit – What’s included?
Suzuki is offering the Swift Sport Upgrade Package as a factory-backed bodykit. The entire package appears to be similar to the Swift Aero concept that was unveiled earlier this year in April. The Aero concept was based on the Swift Champions concept unveiled in January 2025. The new bodykit is being introduced in partnership with Avin, a Japanese firm specializing in various accessories and bodykits.
Instead of using the factory-fitted route, the bodykit will be installed at the dealer level. It will be listed in the official Suzuki Select Plus catalogue. The bodykit parts focus on enhancing the front, side and rear profiles of the hatch. As for the front fascia, the bodykit offers an attractive front splitter. The side profile can be enhanced with a set of side skirts. At the rear, the Swift Sport bodykit includes a bumper extension.

Apart from these three primary parts, enthusiasts have several other options to go with the Swift Sport bodykit. For example, there is an option for black grille garnish and blacked-out alloy wheels. Accessories like door handle protectors, carbon finish on the ORVMs, hood decals, a distinctive fuel lid cover with Swift badging and stainless steel pedals are also available.
Price determination
One advantageous aspect of the Swift Sport Bodykit by Avin is that it can be installed by both new and existing owners in Japan. The primary front, side and rear package is available for JPY 198,000 (Rs 1.16 lakh). Individually, the front splitter and rear bumper extension are priced at JPY 63,800 (Rs 37,000).

The side skirt is priced at JPY 70,400 (₹ 41,000). The Black Grill garnish will require an additional JPY 22,000 (Rs 13,000). For all other optional accessories, the combined price is JPY 96,932 (Rs 57,000).
Wait for the new generation Swift Sport
While the bodykit ensures a sportier appearance for the hatch, the powertrain and hardware remain unchanged. The current Swift for Japan is powered by a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated engine, integrated with a mild-hybrid setup. It generates 82 PS and 112 Nm torque. Transmission options include a manual and a CVT unit.

In comparison, the Swift Sport ZC33S Final Edition was equipped with a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine. It generated 138 PS and 230 Nm of torque and had transmission options of 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic. It remains to be seen whether the next-generation Swift Sport is actually launched or the future of the ICE-powered hot hatch will be limited to cosmetic enhancements only.
