Toyota Innova Crysta is one of those vehicles that stands strong in the Indian market despite challenges like BS6, BS6 P2, CAFE rating and old underpinnings. However, the Innova Crysta is a popular vehicle among fleet operators, taxi drivers and private buyers alike.
Despite the launch of the more modern Innova Hycross with a monocoque chassis and hybrid powertrain, the Crysta has retained its popularity and demand. Toyota has updated the Innova Crysta from time to time and has given it another update in 2026 with revised aesthetics and cabin to keep the cash register rolling.

Throughout its lifecycle, the Toyota Innova Crysta has received several updates and this 2026 update/facelift could be the last one. There is speculation that Toyota will discontinue the Innova Crysta in 2027, but this could be extended to take advantage of the 2026 update.

Speaking of, the 2026 Toyota Innova Crysta brings a new facet to this old ladder-frame MPV. Now we can see a brand new grille to improve the aesthetics of its fascia. There’s thick chrome around the massive grille, divided by a black applique in the middle where the number plate would go.
The front bumper has been redesigned with more chrome inserts and similar changes can be seen with the rear bumper. Overall, the 2026 Toyota Innova Crysta looks more muscular and robust than before, which is likely to click with the target demographic that is already drawn to this ladder-frame diesel MPV.
internal updates
On the inside, Toyota has tried to make the overall ambiance a little more elegant and sophisticated than before. For starters, we can see Grace Copper inserts on the steering wheel, dashboard, center console and door trims for a better look. Details about the AC controls have been updated and we can see new dual-tone seat upholstery.

In terms of features, Toyota has added a wireless charging pad with the VX and ZX trims and added a TPMS feature with the ZX trim. The same 2.4L turbo diesel engine with 148 bhp of maximum power and 343 Nm of peak torque, is mated to a sole 5-speed manual gearbox that sends power to the rear wheels.
