The 2026 Tiago facelift strengthens its wow factor with premium features like dual wireless charger, paddle shifters, 360° camera and a rotary drive selector.
Tata will launch the new Tiago facelift (Petrol + CNG + EV) on May 28. The hatch gets a comprehensive update which also includes a plethora of segment first features. Ahead of the launch of the new Tiago, Tata has posted several teasers revealing key features of the hatch. The interior of Tiago CNG facelift has been revealed in the latest teaser. Let’s see the details.
2026 Tiago CNG facelift – What’s new?
The exterior updates of the Tiago CNG facelift are largely similar to those of the petrol variant. There are only a few differences such as the special i-CNG badging at the rear. Inside, the Tiago CNG facelift uses the same dual-cylinder setup as the outgoing model. Tata introduced its innovative dual cylinder setup with Tiago CNG in 2023. This has effectively addressed the limited boot space issue associated with the CNG variant.

Moving to the first row, it’s easy to notice the completely new dashboard layout. The bulky looking dash of the current model has been replaced with a more contemporary and clutter-free design. The premium fabric finish on the top section helps to elevate the cabin ambience of the hatchback. The Tech package has been upgraded with a new floating touchscreen infotainment system and a new free standing digital instrument display.
The 2026 Tiago CNG also gets a completely redesigned center console. Instead of a conventional gear lever, the facelift is equipped with a rotary drive selector. One of the first features in other segments is the major addition of paddle shifters. Tata has also introduced dual wireless charging pads with the 2026 Tiago CNG facelift. The hatch is also expected to get a 360° view camera setup. In the second row, a major addition is the rear AC vent.

The new Tiago CNG will continue with the two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo. The shade of the upholstery is light and a dual tone theme has been used. Dedicated USB charging is provided for second row passengers. Trims matching the fabric finish on the dashboard can also be seen on the doors.
Similar powertrain likely
The existing powertrain options are expected to continue in the new Tata Tiago facelift. The CNG variant uses a 1.2 litre, 3 cylinder Revotron engine with a factory fitted i-CNG kit. It is a bi-fuel setup, allowing users to easily switch between CNG and petrol at the press of a button. Output is 75 PS and 96.5 Nm when running on CNG. Transmission options include 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT.

The ARAI certified mileage of the Tiago CNG variant is 26.49 km/l with the manual and 28.06 km/l with the AMT transmission. The petrol variant of the Tiago features the same engine, which produces 86 PS and 113 Nm. Transmission options remain the same for the Tiago petrol. The mileage is around 19 km/l with both manual and AMT transmission.
With significantly updated exterior and equipment, the new Tiago facelift is expected to be slightly costlier than the existing model. However, the new Tiago will remain priced competitively to remain relevant in this segment. Tata Tiago competes against rivals like Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Renault Kwid and Citroen C3.
