With its Plios Connect advanced infotainment and cockpit system, the new Creta can establish a clear technological edge over rivals
Hyundai is working on the third generation Creta, which is expected to get extensive updates. One of the new features will be Plios Connect, which was recently unveiled by Hyundai. Apart from the Creta, the Plios Connect will also be seen with Hyundai’s latest models like the new Grandeur in South Korea and the new Ioniq 3 in Europe. The latest spy shots confirm the presence of Plios Connect in the new generation Creta. Let’s see the details.
New Creta spied with Plios Connect
With Plios Connect, the aim is to make tech features more accessible, while reducing distractions and enhancing safety. Instead of the current approach where most cars get dual screens or a full-width screen, the Plios Connect has a large centralized screen. It integrates various functions from instrumentation, infotainment and connectivity systems.

Information is neatly displayed in three sections on the central screen. This ensures quick and easy access without any major mess. On the left, driving information is displayed, including a 3D 360° view of surrounding objects. On the right side, users can access navigation, media, and third-party apps. At the bottom of the screen, recently used or pinned apps are accessible.

The Plios Connect central screen supports single screen and split screen modes. With Pleos Connect, the new Creta will also transform into a much more advanced Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV). This allows access to advanced digital features like the new Glio AI Assistant. Users will also get access to the modular app market.

Another big advantage of the Plios system is that it allows OTA updates not only for OS upgrades but also for powertrain tuning/enhancements and suspension tweaks. Users can add new features and performance boost without requiring any changes to the hardware. With the Plios, Creta’s technology stack can be continuously upgraded to remain future-ready for years.

For essential information that the driver requires regularly while driving, a separate compact screen is provided in the driver’s line of sight. This ensures that important information can be easily accessed without taking your eyes off the road. The small display in front of the driver shows various information such as speed, media information and turn-by-turn navigation.

New hybrid engine, AWD, increased safety
Apart from the existing powertrain options, the new-gen Creta is expected to get a hybrid option. This will be a big achievement for the Indian market. The Creta Hybrid will offer special features like smart regenerative braking and better energy management, made possible with the Plios OS. AWD with multi-link rear suspension can be found in the top variants of the new Creta.
Safety will be enhanced with significant additions to the autonomous features of the Level 2+ ADAS package. In other updates, the new generation Creta is expected to be larger in size and come with larger 19-inch alloy wheels. The exterior profile also appears to have received a major makeover, with the SUV getting a boxier stance, a more contemporary design and new LED lighting signatures.
