Tata Motors has officially revealed the updated Tiago ICE and Tiago EV Launch on 28 May 2026. The fresh images showcase the hatchback with completely redesigned front and rear styling, new lighting elements and additional features, giving a more modern look to Tata’s entry-level offerings.
The new images also reveal refreshed exterior colors for both versions. The Tiago EV is seen in light mint green color, while the ICE variant offers a vibrant coral orange color option. It appears that these are newly introduced colors that are aimed at giving the hatchback lineup a youthful identity.

More intense design with new lighting elements
Both the Tiago ICE and EV now feature redesigned front fascias with slimmer LED headlamps and a cleaner overall layout. The EV gets a completely closed front section with vertically stacked bumper elements and a large lower air intake area. On the other hand, the ICE variant retains the more traditional grille setup finished in glossy black.
The headlamp setup now appears more angular and includes integrated LED DRLs. At the rear, Tata has added connected-style LED tail lamps with a smoked treatment, making the Tiago look much wider and more premium than before.

New alloy wheel designs can also be seen in the ICE version. The ORVM-mounted cameras confirm the addition of a 360-degree camera system, which could become a segment-first feature for the Tiago lineup. Tiago EV has been seen with a new aero wheel design.

Tiago ICE gets fog lamps, EV missing
Interestingly, the teaser images show some differences between the ICE and EV trims. The petrol/CNG variant has fog lamps integrated into the bumper, while the showcased Tiago EV variant lacks fog lamps. The Tiago facelift also gets chrome garnish on the door handles as well as the window sills (the EV does not have chrome garnish on the window sills).
Both versions feature revised front and rear bumpers as well as updated details around the tailgate and lighting elements. Tata has also redesigned the lower part of the bumper with a clean geometric pattern.

Cabin and feature updates expected
Although Tata has not revealed the interiors yet, the updated Tiago range is expected to continue with the new dashboard layout introduced last year. Existing features already include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, illuminated Tata steering wheel logo, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and automatic climate control.
The facelift may additionally introduce a larger digital instrument cluster, rear AC vents, wireless charger and possibly a sunroof on higher trims. Tata may also revise the variant nomenclature in line with its new persona-based strategy.

Powertrain details are likely to follow
Mechanically, the Tiago ICE is expected to continue with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with the i-CNG variant. Transmission options should include manual and AMT options.
The Tiago EV may see improvements in battery efficiency and charging speed. Currently, it is offered with 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh battery pack options, offering a certified range of up to 293 km. Similar to the changes seen with the Punch EV facelift, Tata may also introduce updated battery chemistry and faster charging support.
With these updates, Tata aims to strengthen the Tiago’s position in the hatchback segment against rivals like the Maruti Swift and the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, while the Tiago EV will continue to target affordable EV buyers in India.
