Royal Enfield is working on a new range of 750cc motorcycles and the company has even officially showcased some of them. The first of these 750cc Royal Enfields to be launched is said to be the Continental GT 750, which gets a pronounced front fairing and dual disc brake setup as its distinctive elements.
Now, a new interesting test mule has been spotted without any camouflage and no fairing, but still retains the dual disc brake setup. Is it a variant of the upcoming Continental GT 750 or an update to the existing Continental GT 650? let’s take a closer look.

2026 Royal Enfield Continental GT spied
Royal Enfield’s 750cc range of motorcycles has been undergoing testing for some time now and spy pictures are coming from the second half of 2024. The launch looks close and testing has reached the final stages. Just yesterday, we covered the latest spy shots of the upcoming Continental GT 750 without any pretense.
However, that test mule had a front fairing, which is a defining design feature of the Continental GT 750. Also, the dual disc brake setup is attributed only to the RE 750s, as it makes sense for the company to introduce better braking equipment given the increased performance from the new and larger 750 cc engine.

That said, the latest spy shots from India show a Royal Enfield Continental GT with no front fairing, suggesting it could be the GT 650, but with a dual disc brake setup at the front, suggesting a GT 750. There was also no camouflage on this test mule, suggesting it was in the final stages of testing.
One can connect the dots and conclude that this particular test mule could be the base version of the upcoming Continental GT 750. There may be buyers who like the looks of the current Continental GT 650, but crave higher performance and better braking equipment. Without the fairing, the RE may also offer a more attractive price.

Could this be an update of the GT650 with a tripper dash?
However, this test mule could also be an update of the existing Continental GT 650 with a dual disc brake setup. The Continental GT 650 is by far the sportiest RE 650 on sale today and the superior braking makes a lot of sense. Additionally, we can see a new single-pod TFT tripper dash on this unit, which potential GT 650 buyers will definitely appreciate.
There are no USD forks on this motorcycle yet and the wheels are alloy type with tubeless tyres. Bar-end mirrors, circular turn indicators, twin-shock rear suspension setup, dual exhaust system and other features are also noteworthy.
