It appears that Maruti Suzuki is in the final stages of preparing the updated Brezza for launch. The upcoming Brezza facelift has now been spotted during a TVC shoot, hinting at an official launch may be imminent. The latest visuals show the red Brezza partially covered under a blue tarpaulin, likely to hide the updated rear design while the filming was underway.
This latest development comes months after several test mules of the updated Brezza were spotted testing on public roads. Earlier spy shots had revealed several design and feature upgrades along with possible mechanical enhancements.

TVC shoot shows launch is near
Automakers generally organize promotional shoots only when a vehicle is about to be launched. The fact that the updated Brezza has now been spotted at a filming location suggests that Maruti Suzuki is preparing marketing material ahead of its official debut. Hats off to automotive enthusiast Tushar for sharing the exclusive spy shots.
Previous clear images had already revealed a modified front fascia. The facelifted Brezza gets a wider grille with a thick chrome element in the middle, giving the compact SUV a more premium look. The front bumper has also been redesigned with vertically-oriented fog lamp housings and a more prominent silver skid plate. These changes give the Brezza a more rigid and upright stance compared to the current model.

New features and mechanical changes expected
Spy shots of the first test mules were also revealed New 6-speed manual gearbox. If launched, it will replace the existing 5-speed unit and could improve highway cruising comfort and fuel efficiency. There are also reports that Maruti Suzuki may introduce a new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine option with the facelift.
Such a move would allow the company to stay within the lower GST bracket applicable to sub-1.2-litre petrol engines while offering stronger performance. The existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and CNG powertrain options are expected to continue. On the features front, the updated Brezza is expected to get a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system in place of the existing 9-inch unit. Other additions may include Ventilated Seats, Pano Sunroof, Updated upholstery and new trim finishes.

Expected to launch soon
With road tests going on for several months and promotional activities having started, it looks like the Brezza facelift is close to launch. This update is expected to help Maruti strengthen its position in the highly competitive compact SUV segment Competes with models like Brezza Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Skoda Kailak.
Production will take place at the New Kharkhoda plant, where Maruti started manufacturing the Brezza and Victoris a few weeks ago. More details are likely to be revealed in the coming weeks as Maruti Suzuki gets closer to the official launch of the updated Brezza.
