Thiruvananthapuram ∙ Minister K. Muraleedharan said that if the system is not improved then what is the need of ministers, government and officials. He was inaugurating the ‘Shuruaat’ program of the health department to clean all the hospitals in the state.

Due to lack of facilities in primary level hospitals, many patients are pushed to medical colleges. Those who have headache will go straight to the medical college. He said that the referral system has not been taken forward effectively. He also said that even though they were appointed during the previous government, they would be protected if they cooperate in the efforts being made to improve the health department. He knows towards whom those who were appointed at that time were oriented. The minister said that no one will be allowed to make this department an unhealthy department.
