Sports Desk, New Delhi. Left-arm fast bowler Yash Dayal, who played an important role in the victory of Royal Challengers Bangalore last season, is not a part of the team this season. Yash Dayal has now explained the reason for this and has said the opposite of the reason given by the franchise. He has said that the decision to stay out of IPL-2026 was not his personal decision.
Yash has said that it was not his decision to stay out of the current season but he did so at the behest of the franchise officials. He also admitted that watching RCB matches from home has been emotionally challenging for him. Yash said that he is missing the team environment.
Yash exposes RCB
Speaking on the podcast ‘Talk with Manvendra’, Yash said, “Obviously, when you sit outside and watch the team play on TV, it feels bad. Sometimes I get upset. They didn’t fire me. They retained me and didn’t even choose my replacement. They probably thought I was an important player.”
Yash further said, “The second thing is that my decision to stay out of this season was not my personal decision. This statement may be controversial, but this decision was taken by the officials. I do not know what was the reason behind this decision of RCB. I missed him a lot. I do not know whether the team missed me or not. Only the fans will tell.”
RCB had said something different
Before the start of the season, RCB cricket director Mo Bobat had said that Yash would not play this season. He called it a personal decision of Yash and said that Yash will remain an important member of the team.
Actually, before the beginning of this season, Yash was accused of sexual exploitation by his female friend. An FIR was lodged against him in this matter. This left arm fast bowler was constantly embroiled in controversies. Probably due to which the franchise has indirectly distanced itself from him. Yash may get a chance next season.
