West Bengal State Secretariat Nabanna will be painted saffron

Color change begins in Bengal! New color may change. Blue-white can change to ochre-white. The first layer of ocher color fell on Navan Chattar on Tuesday. However, the Works Department has not yet invited tenders for painting the entire Navan Bhavan in ochre. However, the use of ocher and white colors has started in Navan Hall.

However, no government guidelines have been given on whether the color of other government buildings will also change in that situation. Because if the new secretariat is changed to Food Bhawan, Panchayat to Vikas Bhawan, then the color of all the departments will change. According to a Navan official, some parts are being painted to see how it looks. Then a notification will be issued in this regard.

At one time the state government used to run from the Writers Building. The color of that building was red. After the Trinamool government came to power, the administrative buildings were shifted to the western bank of the Ganges. The color of the 14-storey building ‘Nabanna’ has been blue-white since the beginning. At that time, as per the wish of former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the color of almost all the administrative buildings of the state was changed. Government office buildings started being decorated in blue and white colours. Road dividers have also been painted blue-white. Now their color can also change.

This practice of changing color was not special in Bengal at one time. It starts from the grassroots level. Even when the new government comes, it wants to paint the administrative building in saffron color as per its cultural sentiments.
