Toyota has a strategic partnership with Suzuki and the two companies share a number of vehicles as part of a badge-engineering exercise. In Toyota’s portfolio, we have badge-engineered vehicles like the Urban Cruiser Hayrider, Urban Cruiser Taser, Rumion and Glanza.
The prices of these four vehicles have increased by a maximum of Rs 21,000 in the month of February 2026. The company has not given any reason for this price increase, but higher input cost of raw materials and increased production cost could be some of the reasons. Let’s take a closer look and see what’s what.

Urban Cruiser Hyderabad – Increase up to Rs 21 thousand
For February 2026, Toyota has increased the prices of four of its vehicles by up to Rs 21,000. The maximum price hike is Rs 21,000, which is seen with the urban cruiser Hayrider. In percentage terms, the price of Hyryder increased by 1.40%. The Hyderabadi and its badge-engineered counterpart, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, are serious contenders in the 4.2m to 4.4m SUV sector.

Urban Cruiser Tazer – hiked up to Rs 16.4k
The second highest price hike has come with the urban cruiser Taser. With prices rising to around Rs 16,400 in the month of February 2026, Tasar has become costlier by 1.88% compared to the prices before the hike. It is a badge-engineered version of the Maruti Suzuki Suzuki Swift and both of them compete in the sub 4 meter SUV space.

Glanza – increase by up to Rs 15.8 thousand
Globally, Toyota has several popular hatchbacks, but only one in India. This is Glanza, whose price has increased by Rs 15,800 in February 2026, which is 1.98%. It is currently Toyota’s most affordable offering in India and is a badge-engineered version of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno hatchback.

Rumian – Increase up to Rs 6.8 thousand
With Innova being the most notable MPV brand in India, Toyota needed something more affordable to slot below the Innova. This is where the Rumion fits in, which has the smallest price increase compared to Toyota’s offer of up to Rs 6,800 in February 2026, which is about 0.59%. This is the badge engineered version of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
