India’s scooter segment witnessed strong growth in February 2026, with total sales of the top 10 models reaching 6,51,243 units. This represents a healthy growth of 42.22% year-on-year (YoY) as compared to 4,57,898 units sold in February 2025. Most of the models in the top 10 list recorded double-digit growth, highlighting the growing demand in both the ICE and electric scooter segments.
Top 10 Scooters February 2026
Honda Activa retained its undisputed leadership position with sales of 2,54,449 units in February 2026, registering a strong growth of 46.23% YoY. It continues to maintain a huge lead over rivals and contributes a major share to the overall scooter sales. TVS Jupiter stood second with 1,27,089 units, a growth of 22.70%. Suzuki Access stood at third position with 70,137 units, up 18.80% YoY, continuing its steady performance in the segment.

Electric scooters are clearly gaining popularity in India. TVS iQube registered sales of 38,054 units registering a strong growth of 61.38% YoY. Bajaj Chetak witnessed good demand with sales of 28,004 units, up 31.85%. This growth highlights the growing consumer acceptance of EVs, supported by improvements in charging infrastructure and expanding product options.
TVS Ntorq posted a growth of 52.22% at 31,955 units, while Honda Dio posted the strongest growth of 76.11% with 28,227 units. Hero Destiny emerged as a standout performer by almost doubling its sales at 27,369 units and a growth of 89.47%. Yamaha RayZR also showed strong momentum with 22,593 units, up 61.26%.

Among the top 10 scooters, Suzuki Burgman recorded the highest growth with a YoY growth of 112.84%. Sales in February 2026 stood at 23,366 units, more than double the previous year’s 10,978 units. This reflects the growing preference towards maxi-style scooters among Indian buyers.
Top 10 performance as per OEM
The OEM-wise breakup of the top 10 scooters sales for February 2026 shows clear dominance of Honda, which is comfortably ahead with 43%+ share driven by Activa and Dio. TVS holds a strong second position with over 30% share, supported by a well-balanced portfolio of fast-growing iQube EV as well as ICE scooters like Jupiter and Ntorq. Suzuki is at third position with 14% share, helped by continued demand for Access and fast-growing Burgman.
Hero and Yamaha have recorded impressive growth rates, especially the Destiny and RazrR, indicating growing traction despite low volumes. Bajaj’s Chetak is also making steady progress in the EV sector. Overall, the data not only highlights volume growth but also shows a clear shift towards diversification, with EV scooters playing an increasingly important role in the segment.
