
Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL) has recorded its highest ever monthly sales in May 2026. The company sold a total of 1,32,244 two-wheelers during the month, registering a growth of 2.60% year-on-year as compared to 1,28,897 units sold in May 2025. Both domestic and export sales contributed to the positive performance, helping Suzuki achieve a new monthly sales milestone.
Suzuki 2W sales May 2026
Domestic sales stood at 1,10,028 units in May 2026, up 2.09% from 1,07,780 units sold in the same month last year. The growth of 2,248 units also marks Suzuki’s highest ever monthly domestic sales performance in India. Exports grew at a faster pace, rising 5.20% year-on-year to 22,216 units as compared to 21,117 units shipped during May 2025. Export volumes increased by 1,099 units, accounting for 16.8% of the company’s total sales during the month.

Total sales reached 1,32,244 units, an increase of 3,347 units compared to May 2025. Domestic operations contributed 83.2% of the total volume, while exports accounted for the remaining 16.8%. Suzuki also recorded good month-on-month growth. Total sales increased from 1,17,514 units in April 2026 to 1,32,244 units in May 2026, an increase of 12.53%.
Domestic sales grew 12.27% from 98,004 units in April to 1,10,028 units in May. Exports during the same period improved by 13.87%, increasing from 19,510 units to 22,216 units. The company added 14,730 units on a monthly basis, with both domestic and export markets strongly contributing to the recovery.
FY27 off to a positive start
For the period April-May 2026, Suzuki Motorcycle India has reported cumulative sales of 2,49,758 units. This is 3.27% higher than 2,41,845 units sold during the same period last year. Domestic sales during the first two months of FY27 stood at 2,08,032 units, up 2.48% from 2,02,994 units. Exports increased by 7.40% to 41,726 units from 38,851 units in the same period of FY26.
Commenting on the performance, Mr. Deepak Mutreja, Vice President – Sales & MarketingSuzuki Motorcycle India said the company’s highest-ever monthly sales reflect the positive response to its products and customer-centric initiatives. He said Suzuki will continue to focus on customer engagement and ownership experience to maintain the growth momentum.
Network expansion continues
During May 2026, Suzuki expanded its retail footprint by opening its first dealership in Leh, Ladakh. The company also inaugurated new dealerships in Ludhiana, Bathinda and Sirsa, strengthening its presence across North India. Suzuki additionally held its ‘Suzuki Moto Fest’ at the dealership, allowing customers to experience its motorcycle and scooter range through dedicated riding activities and engagement events.
