With the launch of the Himalayan 450, Royal Enfield ushered in a new era of technological advancement. Before the introduction of the Sherpa 450 platform, Royal Enfields were known as simple motorcycles with retro technology that exuded old-world charm. In comparison, the Himalayan 450 was far more special and a leap forward.

The dealership has unveiled the Himalayan 450 Phantom Special Edition with a bunch of bolt-on parts to improve functionality. let’s take a closer look.

Himalayan 450 Phantom Special Edition

Royal Enfield has priced the Himalayan 450 in the UK between GBP 5,850 (Rs 7.22 lakh) and GBP 6,400 (Rs 7.9 lakh). In comparison, the Himalayan 450 Phantom Special Edition of Cooper Motorcycles is priced between GBP 10,299 (Rs 12.72 lakh) and GBP 12,000 (Rs 14.82 lakh), if you want to opt for all the bolt-on equipment on offer.

Some of the bolt-on equipment used to create this Phantom special edition comes from Royal Enfield’s accessories catalogue. These include the Rallye seat as well as the Rallye body parts that can be seen on the rear subframe. Acerbis also has a number of bolt-on parts and these include knuckle guards, belly pans and fork covers.

The stock 17L fuel tank of the Himalayan 450 has been replaced with a 23L Acerbis plastic fuel tank, which significantly improves the tank range. To further improve the off-road capability of Himalayan, Phantom has been given an 18-inch rear wheel instead of 17-inch. Speaking of wheels, buyers can choose to retain the stock cross-spoke tubeless design or upgrade to lightweight ultra-strong SM Pro tube-type rims.

Knobby tires and Moose setup are also optional and buyers can customize their Phantom as per their wish. There are upgrades to the stock suspension as well. Buyers can choose between Hagen units or K-Tech. With K-Tech, there is compression, rebound and preload adjustability and buyers can also opt for K-Tech’s ProValve kit for better adjustment range.

better performance

As far as performance is concerned, the Himalayan 450 Phantom Special Edition by Cooper Motorcycles has retained the internals of the stock Sherpa 450 engine. There’s a kit from HP Corse for better intake and a complete exhaust swap with a DNA induction kit. A fuel remap has been created by FuelX Pro Plus to increase performance while taking advantage of these additional features.

The Himalayan 450 Phantom proved its mettle at the Valleys X-Treme Lite race in South Wales in January 2026, where Cooperb Motorcycles employed three of these bikes. These race bikes included some of the optional bolt-on equipment mentioned above. The bike won the Big Bike Single class here, ridden by Jake Eddy.
