Renault India has expanded the Kiger lineup by introducing four new variants in naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol powertrains. The update aims to make turbocharged performance and premium features more accessible, as well as provide buyers with a wider choice in the B-SUV range. New Evolution+ variant introduced
The biggest update is the addition of the new Evolution+ trim, which is now available with multiple powertrain options. Renault has positioned it between the Evolution and Techno variants, bringing a number of convenience features at a relatively accessible price.
The new Evolution+ variant is available with a naturally aspirated petrol engine with both manual and AMT gearboxes. It is also available with turbo-petrol engine and manual transmission. Key features added with the Evolution+ variant include smart access card with push start/stop, driver seat height adjustment, wireless smartphone replication, automatic climate control and lightweight embossed fabric upholstery.
Turbo range expanded to five variants
Renault has expanded the Kiger’s turbo-petrol lineup from three to five variants. In addition to the new Evolution+ Turbo MT, the company has introduced a Techno Turbo manual variant, offering buyers a more affordable entry point into the higher-spec Techno trim without having to opt for the CVT automatic. More features at a lower price
With the introduction of the Evolution+ variant, Renault has effectively brought many features that were previously reserved for higher trims to more affordable price points. Features like automatic climate control, push-button start, wireless smartphone connectivity and driver seat height adjustment are now available lower down the range. The addition of a manual gearbox option to the Techno Turbo variant also gives buyers another combination that balances performance, features and affordability.
