Petrol and diesel prices were increased for the fourth time in a span of 10 days on Monday (May 25, 2026), this time by an average of ₹2.80 paise per liter across the country.
Due to this, the effective price of petrol in Delhi became ₹ 102.12/litre and the effective price of diesel became ₹ 95.20/litre.

This was the fourth such increase this month ₹3 upward revision on May 15, 2026and further Increase of 90 paise on 19 May 2026And after four years on 23 May 2026.
With the latest revision, the cumulative increase in petrol and diesel prices is around ₹7.5 per liter since fuel rate revision resumed on May 15 after a long pause.
