Parma Ekadashi 2026: There are a total of 24 Ekadashis in a year, that is, there are two Ekadashis every month, we all know this. But, among all these Ekadashis, there is one such Ekadashi, which does not come every year. This is Parama Ekadashi, which falls only during Adhik Maas and that too only once in 3 years. This is the reason why it is considered a very special and rare Ekadashi. According to the Hindu calendar, when Adhikamas occurs, then the Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha is called Parama Ekadashi. It is different from the other 24 Ekadashis because its arrival occurs only in special circumstances. Therefore its importance is considered many times greater.
According to religious beliefs, Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi are worshiped on all Ekadashis and wishes are made for freedom from sins and attainment of virtue. But Parama Ekadashi has been called Param i.e. supreme Ekadashi, because it is considered to provide salvation.
