Something similar has happened with the Tekton 4.2m to 4.4m SUV, which was to debut today i.e. on 4th February. However, Nissan has postponed this too, which will now take place after the launch of the Gravitas MPV. The caption reads, “Gravitas, built for Indians, shaped by the spirit of India”.

It further said, “A new journey begins with 1.4 billion aspirations. Will be launched on 17th February.” From what the teasers and spy shots have revealed, the Nissan Gravitas looks like it is a badge-engineered version of the Renault Triber as it borrows the same silhouette including the kink in the roofline for third-row headroom.

This kink is well-hidden with its roof rails and the Nissan Gravit is expected to come with a distinctive identity with a distinctive fascia, lighting elements, wheels and interiors. We can see a large grille, unique LED headlights with interesting LED DRLs, fog lights and a sculpted bonnet for a muscular look.

what to expect?

Like the Triber facelift, the Nissan Gravit is expected to come with steel wheels with stylish wheel covers that will give the look of alloy wheels. On the inside, the Nissan Gravit may come with a unique dashboard of its own with unique features and comfort features.

The soon-to-be-launched Nissan Gravit is expected to have a larger touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, auto climate control on higher variants, steering mounted controls, cruise control, a wireless charging pad, sliding and reclining rear seats, rear seat blower and AC vents, removable third row seats and other features.

Powering the Nissan Gravit is likely to be a sole 1.0L NA petrol engine which will be mated to a 5-speed MT or a 5-speed AMT. This engine is capable of generating around 72 PS and 96 Nm. We would like Nissan to offer the Gravitas with a 1.0 liter 100 PS turbo petrol engine for better performance compared to the Renault Triber.
