MG had also increased the prices of the M9 Presidential Limousine and Cyberstar electric sports car earlier this year in April.

Apart from its strong performance in India’s mainstream EV segment, JSW MG Motor is also focusing on the premium segment. Last year, two new models were launched, the MG M9 and the Cyberstar EV. These premiums are available for sale through MG Select dealerships. In the latest development, prices of MG M9 and Cyberster have been increased by up to Rs 5 lakh.

MG M9, Cyberstar EV prices hiked – July 2026

At the time of launch last year, the price of MG M9 was Rs 69.9 lakh. It was offered in a single variant – Presidential Limo. MG Cyberster was also launched last year in a single variant, which was priced at Rs 72.49 lakh. In April 2026, MG had announced price hikes for both the M9 and Cyberstar by Rs 5 lakh and Rs 2.5 lakh respectively.

The prices of MG M9 and Cyberster have been increased once again. The MG M9 has become costlier by Rs 4.05 lakh, while the Cyberster will cost Rs 5 lakh more. With this price hike, the MG M9 is now available at a starting price of Rs 79.95 lakh. Cyberstar EV is now priced at Rs 82.5 lakh. It is likely that the prices have been increased due to increase in production costs.

Performance, Features

The MG M9 is equipped with a 90 kWh NMC battery pack, which offers a range of 548 km. Power is supplied by a single electric motor that generates 245 PS and 350 Nm of torque. For peace of mind, MG offers a lifetime battery warranty with the M9. Key features of the MG M9 include presidential seats with heating, cooling, massage function and electric adjustability. Most functions can be easily accessed by second row passengers through the intelligent arm rest screen.

The MG Cyberster uses a 77 kWh battery pack, which supplies power to two oil-cooled electric motors. The output is 510 PS and 725 Nm, which provides a truly exciting driving experience. The Cyberster EV takes just 3.2 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. The range of 580 kilometers is also quite good. The EV has various performance-oriented features such as an F1-inspired chassis, locking rear differential, fully switchable ESP, Brembo brakes and independent front and rear suspension.

MG’s first PHEV for India

In the mainstream segment, MG is preparing a derivative of the Wuling Starlight 560 PHEV for the Indian market. The launch is scheduled to take place today, July 16. The PHEV can be launched in India as ‘Hector Hawk’. Hector has strong brand recall in the Indian market, which may work in favor of the new PHEV to be launched.

In terms of dimensions, the Wuling Starlight 560 PHEV is 4,745 mm long and has a wheelbase of 2,810 mm. It has a boxy profile and is designed for practical applications. A wide range of advanced technological features are expected to be offered with the Starlight 560. The SUV uses a 20.5 kWh battery and can travel up to 100 km in pure EV mode.
