Mercedes-Benz India recently launched the limited production Night Edition of two of its popular SUVs – GLE and GLS. As part of the Night Edition, Mercedes-Benz India is offering buyers a choice of unique equipment, technology colors and shades as well as exclusivity. let’s take a closer look.

GLE and GLS Night Edition

As far as pricing is concerned, the Mercedes GLE Night Edition starts at Rs 1.05 crore (ex-sh) for the GLE 300d diesel and Rs 1.14 crore (ex-sh) for the GLE 450 petrol. The GLS Night variant starts at Rs 1.41 crore (ex-sh) for the GLS 450 petrol and Rs 1.43 crore (ex-sh) for the GLS 450d diesel. This makes a total of four types.

In terms of price increase compared to its standard counterparts, the GLE Night Edition diesel is costlier by Rs 5 lakh and with petrol it is costlier by Rs 3.5 lakh. The GLS Night Edition costs Rs 3.5 lakh more with petrol and Rs 3.3 lakh more with diesel (all prices ex-sh). The Night Editions of the GLE and GLS have been designed to meet the growing demand for personalization and exclusivity among Merc buyers in India.

The GLE and GLS have been Merc’s best-selling SUVs in the country and are leaders in India’s luxury SUV segment. The GLE and GLS Night Edition come with two color options – Alpine Gray (exclusive with the Night Edition) and Obsidian Black. We can also see gloss black contrasting elements with the GLE and GLS. These include black finished ORVMs, gloss black finish on the front bumper for a sporty contrast and a black roof.

additional equipment!

On the inside, the GLE and GLS Night Edition get black door sills, black Nappa leather upholstery with anthracite open pore oak wood trims. When compared to their standard counterparts, both the Mercedes GLE and GLS Night Edition get a HUD (Heads Up Display) as standard. Only the GLS Night variant gets additional rear entertainment screens.

The GLE Night Edition also gets special equipment in the form of Airmatic suspension, which is not available on the standard GLE. In fact, Mercedes never offered Airmatic suspension with a GLE SUV version equipped with a 4-cylinder engine, making the GLE Night Edition even more of a niche for potential buyers.
