Mahindra Auto had announced mandatory price hikes of up to 2.7% on its passenger vehicles and up to 2% on its commercial vehicles from July 2026. New prices are visible and in this post, we will learn about the price hikes of some of India’s favorite ladder frame SUVs from Mahindra, Scorpio Classic and Thar Rocks.
Thar Rocks price increase in July 2026
For the month of July 2026, both the Thar Rocks and Scorpio Classic have received a systematic price hike that goes up to Rs 78,000, depending on the model and variant. The price increase is not uniform across all variants and depends on the individual trim level, choice of engine (with the Thar Rocks) and then gearbox and drivetrain configuration.
Starting with the Thar Rocks, it is currently India’s favorite and the best-selling 5-door lifestyle off-roader in the country. It is popular for its beautiful looks and high desirability. The maximum increase in the price of Thar Rocks is reported to be up to Rs 78,000. Along with the Thar Rocks, Mahindra has increased the prices of all variants.
The price hike with the Thar Rocks ranges between Rs 12,500 to Rs 78,000. The lowest price increase of Rs 12,500 comes with the base MX1 petrol MT 2WD variant. Among the petrol variant lineup of Mahindra Thar Rocks, the Star Edition AT 2WD variant has seen the highest price hike at Rs 59,000.
As far as the diesel variants are concerned, the price hike ranges between Rs 22,500 and Rs 78,000. The lowest price hike is Rs 22,500 with the MX5 MT 2WD variant, while the highest price hike is Rs 78,000 with the top-spec trim variants of the Thar Rocks like the AX7 L 2WD and AX7 L 2WD with Mocha interior theme.
Scorpio Classic price hike in July 2026
The popularity and simplicity of the Scorpio Classic has kept the model going and it is sold alongside the new and blockbuster Scorpio N. Currently, the Scorpio Classic is only offered with S and S11 trim levels, while a mid-spec S5 trim level was rumored and was even spotted on public roads, but was never launched.
There are four variants of the Scorpio Classic – two with S trim, two with S11 trim. The price of the S MT 7S variant has been increased by Rs 37,000, while the price of the S MT 9S variant has seen a price increase of Rs 39,000. The price of both S11 trim variants (S11 MT 7S and S11 MT 7S CC) has increased by Rs 40,000. The revised prices of Scorpio Classic now range between Rs 13.37 lakh to Rs 17.4 lakh (ex-sh).
