Stellantis NV Group is expanding the Jeep lineup globally. There is a strong push towards introducing electrified versions of Jeep vehicles and launching smaller and more affordable jeeps like the Avenger. However, in India, Jeep mainly focuses on ICE vehicles offering the Compass, Meridian, Grand Cherokee and the iconic Wrangler.
It seems there is a change or intention to change the strategies as Jeep India has patented a new vehicle in the country. We are talking about the Wagoneer S, which is a fully electric offering. If launched in India, it will be the first full-electric Jeep to be sold in the country. Let’s check out the possibilities.

First introduced in 2024, the Jeep Wagoneer S is a fully electric SUV from Jeep and is based on the STLA Large platform. As far as dimensions are concerned, it is smaller than the Wagoneer and even the Grand Cherokee. The Jeep Wagoneer S measures 4,887 mm in length, 1,899 mm in width, 1,645 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,870 mm.

20-inch wheels are standard in North America, where it was first sold. Prices in the United States currently start at US$65,200, which is approximately Rs 60 lakh. Initially, there was only one Launch Edition trim, which was later expanded with the Limited trim.

As far as design is concerned, the Wagoneer S is definitely a modern jeep. It has the iconic vertical slat illuminated grille, although it is a closed-off grille. It features subtle, yet strong folds to establish a sophisticated vibe. Complementing this are even more well executed chrome highlights. The headlights are LED and the housing is sleek.

The lower grille gets a glossy black finish and the bumper also gets air intake elements. At the rear, we can see connecting LED tail lights, a large roof spoiler with an interesting aero design. On the sides, we can see a slightly sloping roofline, which is highlighted by silver accents in the D pillar area.

Premium Interiors
On the inside, we can see a two-spoke steering wheel. The Jeep Wagoneer S has four screens on the front, a departure from the triple-screen setup of rival brands. It has a 12.3-inch infotainment, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 10.2-inch co-driver entertainment display and then a fourth 10.2-inch display dedicated to climate control. If that’s enough, there’s also a 10-inch HUD.

With the Wagoneer S Launch Edition, Jeep offers a black and red leather upholstery option. Notable interior features include sophisticated ADAS, 16-way adjustable seats with heating, cooling and massage functions, panoramic sunroof, 19-speaker premium McIntosh audio system and others.

Powering the Jeep Wagoneer S is a 100.5 kWh Li-ion battery pack, which promises a range of up to 488 km on a single charge. Jeep offers a dual motor AWD layout as standard with a maximum performance of up to 600 bhp and 837 Nm. It also has Level-2 fast charging support, promising 20% to 80% SOC in just 23 minutes. Jeep India has not yet confirmed whether the Wagoneer S will be launched in India or not.
