Recently, an updated Fascino was spied, hinting that the launch could be just around the corner. Aroc sales declined 12.70% YoY and MoM by 31.78% to 1,938 units.
XSR registered 924 units in February 2026. Although there is no year-on-year comparison, MOM sales declined sharply by 77.39% from 4,087 units in January 2026, possibly due to initial demand stabilization. XSR sales have been on a steady decline since it first entered production in November 2025, when it recorded over 16k sales, while in December 2025 sales stood at around 15k.

92 units of the newly introduced EC-06 electric scooter were recorded, marking Yamaha’s entry into the electric sector in India. The R3/MT-03 lineup recorded zero sales in February 2026, while 54 units were sold in February 2025, indicating limited sales in the premium segment.

yamaha scooter vs motorcycle sale
Yamaha’s February 2026 sales clearly show that motorcycles remain the primary growth driver for the brand. Motorcycle sales stood at 36,652 units, contributing 54.64% to the total volume. The segment recorded a strong growth of 39.41% year-on-year, which is significantly higher than scooters, reflecting the growing demand for Yamaha’s sporty and performance-oriented lineup like the FZ, R15 and MT-15.

On the other hand, total sales of scooters stood at 30,421 units, which is 45.36% of total sales. While this is still a large share, the 25.87% year-on-year growth was relatively small compared to motorcycles. Models like RayZR are performing well, but the overall scooter portfolio is seeing mixed traction due to the decline in products like Fascino and Airox.
Overall, the data highlights Yamaha’s strong position as a motorcycle-centric brand in India. While scooters are contributing significantly to volumes, it is the motorcycle segment that is driving strong growth and shaping Yamaha’s current sales momentum.
